Xbox One X

Does anyone else know how to make it so your games automatically update instead of always waiting for you to turn the console on? I have it set for games and apps to stay current or whatever the setting is called but no updates actually download until I wake the console up and click on them. On the PS4 it will download and auto update when the console is in sleep mode (well it's supposed to, sometimes it doesn't) but my One X has never done it.

My X seems to be doing the same thing. I had mine in low power mode all day. I come home and fire up a game and it needs an update. Unless the patch just came out, it could have downloaded anytime all day.

It happens to me once in awhile with a few games. It's strange cause it happens to games that I do know auto updates at times, seems random.
Last week I had 3 games queued for updates but none of them had started, had to manually start them. It's only somewhat bothersome when game is online focused like rb6 and pubg and such.

Seems like it's a pretty common problem, I've sent messages to their twitter support and haven't gotten a response.

Weird, now neither my PS4 pro or X1X are updating. I left both in low power mode all day and now I start them and am getting patches.

I think both consoles have done this in the past too.

You need to go to your settings in power management. There is an option to power off HD when the console is off. Remove the check and it will fix your problem.

If not there look under storage.

Yeah that's already been done as well, thanks for trying to help though :)

PS4/Pro updates probably 70% of the time for me but my One X has never done it.

My X is about 70-30 for and not auto updating. A lot of the times it's the "AAA" games that don't get the auto update pushed, Roblox, Slime Rancher and those type always seem to go through.

AAA games are pretty much all I play on the X.

Same here, however, my son plays Slime Rancher, Roblox, Minecraft and such. I always see those in the recently updated section, while Halo, Forza seem to wait for me to manually update them

Same, but if it’s downloading whilst in stand by and then turned on it’ll pause it, even if I don’t play online or stream.

My settings have never changed, nobody else uses my Xbox.

I checked this morning and I did get updates again. I know there was a Rainbow 6 Siege patch and it came down no problem. I never had my Xbox on and it worked. With yesterday being Halloween I wasn't even near my game console all night.

There must be something going on as I know it hasn't been consistent.

I remember when I was playing PUBG regularly when I knew a patch dropped sometimes it would be already downloaded and sometimes I had to start it. It seemed random.

I always see games "recently updated", and I didn't have to do anything. Though I wish there were release notes with them so I could click on them to see what is new.

Lol
Thought it was enhanced already, but just read they only did the ps4 pro. EA really threw this under the bus lol
Also, game was good, not great and definitely not worthy of mass effects legacy, but as a game, it was fine.
Without the mass effect license I'm pretty sure this game would've gotten much, much better reviews.

I think it would have gotten hammered even more, all of the graphical glitches, bad story etc would have made any new franchise DOA. It's just a really bad game.
