Xbox One X

Mine is ordered with $15 release date shipping.
Am going to hold on to both pre-orders from amazon/target.
If i end up canceling from amazon you best believe I'm getting compensated.
Thanks Val, I did the same just now from your link. Paid the $15 for the day of release delivery. I wonder if I should cancel my Amazon one now.

anyone order from MS website? Any shipping status changes?

I did, nothing yet. Credit card not yet charged either. I'd expect both to happen today or tomorrow.

FWIW I ordered my launch X1 from MS and had no issues. I'm sure there will be an update when it ships.

I don't care who you are, you have to give to MS for the way they're handling things with this launch.

-fully detailed specs of the machine well before release
-launch units playable well before release with plenty of impressions and footage
-website with a fully detailed and maintained list of enhanced games, well before release
-tons of videos demonstrating the enhancements (in 4k even, crazy idea)
-launching with tons of support from 3rd party devs
-supporting plenty of their 1st part XBO games with enhancements
-support for 360 and OG Xbox BC games with enhancements
-out of the gate improvements for every other game that wasn't manually updated
-support for different monitor resolutions out of the gate (1080p, 1440p, 4k)
-downsampling handled on a system level, out of the gate
-they had an E3 with streamed 4k/HDR so everyone could get a good glimpse of what to expect
-curated option store that shows which games are enhanced for the new hardware
-the ability to predownload/update games for Xbox One X before the console even arrives
-added ability to send content from one console to another (no need to redownload)
-cloud saved user settings so you can literally turn your Xbox One X on, slap on your external and get straight to gaming as soon as it's hooked up
-retail boxes that actually differentiate the Xbox One S and Xbox One X (wild idea)
-these videos/articles Rollins has been posting every day, "here's how ____ is being enhanced for Xbox One X" are amazing.

This is how you launch a new & improved console.

Compare this to last year.

I couldn't agree more, and a great list. I picture THAT LIST on the white board in their conference room a couple years ago. I see people brainstorming, writing that up on the board and then working their way through the list. THEN taking that list and adding to it for Xbox Two, whenever that comes out.

Back in the day, I had preordered the OG Xbox One through the dashboard from MS. Got it on launch day no problem. This time, I also preordered from MS on web within an hour of the Go Live of the Project Scorpio preorders on 8/20. I don't recall how the order "looked" last time but MS site is so damn barebones. There is no expected ship date or anything. I called and they said I should get it day of or day after (I'm generally ok with that but obvs prefer day of). F*ck the wait is brutal though. I posted my OG Xbox One for sale on Craigs List and Letgo. Already had a few strokers :).

Most places are pretty good about letting you know if there's a problem too. It would be nice if they could let you know that "all is well" with your preorder though.

Is that Amazon or Target?
