You wanna see broken? I'll show you broken.

Wow. and I thought the exotic sniper rifle I have called the ice breaker was super op. I take it you get this weapon from finishing the vault of glass?

Add this to the list of really stupid design decisions made by Bungie regarding this game. I mean, what the hell Bungie? Who's going to compete with that in PvP? Especially when it's a primary weapon they always have at all times.

Does Bungie not playtest the multiplayer in their games anymore? That gun is blatantly op. How in the hell could they miss something that obvious?

Wow! I knew the multiplayer was unbalanced, but I didn't realize it was full out broken.

How did this happen? Really,

hard to tell with the other players being terrible. shin gin produces similar results. the gun is rare anyway.

Broken? Today I've picked up some 4 sweet rare and legendary gear gauntlets, chest plate, and helmet. Too bad they weren't for the warlock class they could have helped me out.

no, youre just overreacting to one video.

Did I watch the same video as you?

  • Zero recoil
  • Fully Automatic + Full Clip
  • Damn near Sniper level damage (a lot of 2shot kills)
That is nuts. Might as well be instagib.

Yeah. Bungie has some serious issues. They are having a miserable time balancing the loot system and drop rate for PVE let alone working out all the crazy imbalance this leads to in PVP. What to do with all the upgrade bonuses these rare weapons carry when normalizing just the stats for PVP was already proving to be impractical and unfair.

I thought all the guns were basically even'd for their respective classes, isn't Iron Banner the mode where all your guns/armor perks are still active in PvP? Does this gun fall outside if that or something?

The upgrades and base stats still matter. This usually is the least of the balance issues in the crucible.

This weapon might not be a big deal in the end when everybody ends up with it , it actually may combat some of the other overpowered instakill melee attacks , Rocket launchers, one hit shotguns, etc, The MP is more of a Rock, Paper Scissors type of combat than a pure shooter.

Everyone isn't going to end up with it though because how many people are going to beat the raid on hard and then get lucky and get it?

Ran into a level 30 with the Vex last night playing Control. He left the match after about 5 mins. Our theory was that he rage quit because he was getting his ass kicked. Probably trying to escape having to explain a poor k/d while possessing the most op gun in the game.

The Vex might be good for Rumble, but team based modes it can be beaten by a cohesive team. Now when numerous people start getting it, it could get bad.

I don't have Destiny (and never will), but looking at the videos, it definitely seems OP. The killing time (about 3 bullets?) is similar to CoD, but watching videos, a typical Destiny character gets killed in much more bullets than that using typical weapons. So a weapon that is accurate, has a large clip, auto fire and can kill in 3 bullets is OP. Watching some vids, some people are actually hitting the user with ammo first, but since the Vex kills in such a short time, he can afford to get hit a bit knowing he'll still win a one on one firefight most of the time. And in Destiny there seems to be that special power where it looks like you heal yourself or your armour or something.

It's insane what kind of k/d I could have with this weapon if I played Destiny. In CoD where everyone gets killed in about 3 bullets, I have k/d of 2.50 - 3.80. If I had a gun that kills in 3 bullets, but everyone else needs 6 bullets to kill me, my k/d in Destiny would probably be double.

I'm sure Bungie will nerf it, so the hordes of gamers who are trying to get it now might be wasting their time..... assuming they do nerf it. All they have to do is add a touch more recoil and require an extra two bullets to kill someone and problem solved.

Since the Raid will be there throughout the life of the game, I believe in a year there will be many people who finish this Raid and future raids.

Are the guns/armor that you receive as a reward for finishing the Raid a random chance from a group of exotics or is it a certain one depending on which difficulty you beat it on?

this gun is only available through a random drop beating atheon on hard.
