Your top 5 most anticipated games of 2015?

What did you learn about Tomb Raider that placed it above Uncharted 4 in the matter of five days?

Not much. I just think Tomb Raider has more potential being only the second game in the new series. UC4 will be amazing but i already know how it's going to turn out. I'm still looking forward to it obviously.

Oh, well...enjoy the wait!

They just stated recently that they won't go for 60 if it's going to compromise gameplay/graphics.
consider me absolutely shocked that ND would start using excuses like that if they cant hit 60fps, what ever next... black borders to give it a film feel.

Excuse? lol, that's funny.

ND is right up there in terms of yielding the best performance from consoles. They don't need excuses. If they want to focus on giving the best visuals they can rather than 60. So be it.

You laugh at black borders now, wait till The Order comes out and if it plays like any of the revealed gameplay from before then I'm going to take a guess that many multiple reviews will mention how much of a graphical masterpiece it is. The cutscene to gameplay quality is seamless.

nah... it smells of excuse, it looks like excuse, it is..... excuse. quite shocking considering its ND.

i'll still get the game, but ND are just not all that if they are going down the excuse route.

Actually based on ND's track record, all of their games are 30 FPS. Considering how weak the CPU is on these next-gen consoles and how visuals would be obviously compromised if 60 FPS was the priority, it makes sense they'd prefer to focus on the visuals rather than 60 FPS. But keep trying to find excuses to talk down ND.

they may have a track record of 30fs, but this game is on PS4 (not 3,2 or 1) and should be 1080p/60fps by them. if the system is not capable of doing it, they should just say so and not hide behind an excuse. from others i can accept black borders etc but this is ND.

sure the cpu on PS4 might be weak in comparison to PS3, but the system is way more powerful than a PS3 and 2+ years into this dev cycle, i expect more from ND than an excuse as to why they may fail to hit 60fps.

but do keep trying to convince yourself its not an excuse.

Are you new? Haven't you heard that these consoles are very underpowered compared to the most modern desktop's? ANY game can hit 60 FPS. Just tone down the visuals. It's just whether ND feel like there is a good compromise between the visuals and FPS. They first need to set the level of visuals they would like to hit and then see if they can get it to 60 FPS. Not the other way around.

OK. I get it. You've convinced yourself it's not an excuse.

In other News. Rain is wet...

Are you somehow suggesting that Naughty Dog doesn't know how to code?
News flash. The PS5 will still have tons of games that run at 30fps because you can get way more detail out of half the frames.

Man the market for a decently powered console is ripe for the taking middle generation, key word is decent, which is still leagues beyond the measly ps4/xb1.

A decently powered console would be great mid generation, all I hear around different forums is how underpowered these machines are. It would take almost nothing to blow away these consoles in 2017.

For how much though?

And you would really want new consoles three years after gen 8 started?

I think the call for a new gen will depends on how far mainstream gaming PC have pull away in the next years. WIth Dx12 provide nearly (to the metal) performance, the gap will widen even more even without existing cards. I mean a 970GTX is like 300+bucks now, & I expect maybe 200+in 3 years at most. You can have a rig that run circles around consoles at smooth 60fps that cost less very soon.

In three years these consoles are going to cost $299 or $249 (probably the XBox One). In three years the best looking games on these consoles will look nearly identical to the best looking games on PC, according to the general public.

The law of diminishing returns is going to ensure a lengthy gen 8.

Shucks I will be enjoying high end looking games on my consoles.

I think its time for you to save up and buy a nice gaming PC though.

High end games on consoles? Where? Even if I buy a nice gaming PC I don't have time to play all three, makes no sense.

Oh yes many high end games coming.

You really need to get it over and buy one though.

I've been keeping up with whats coming, not sure whats high end, but there are some fun looking exclusives. I don't what I need to "get over" ...get over working less than 50 hours per week so I can game on 3 platforms? I barely have time for xb1/ps4. Guess I could sell my ps4.

Sell the PS4 and get a Good Gaming PC and make sure its as future ready as possible so you can enjoy the hobby for years to come. If you don't mind spending some doe consider a Origin Omega.

Perfect for the living room gamer with much power and upgrade-ability
