I wish they'd make a console that could do higher resolution with anti-aliasing etc. This game looks really interesting visually but the rough edges everywhere, the pop in and the fact that in docked mode it's 900p at best just kills it for me. I hope those of you that buy it love it though, it sounds like a great game.

Will play it in handheld. The small screen will help a bit haha.

I really wish they would had this as the launch title for a super switch.

Great to see new Zelda is delivering. I got it installing for my wife got it digitally for her bday. She logged 100+ hours into BOTW. It’s one of those games I’d love to play but will never have the time to sink into both.

Some call the platform you seek a PC, or even a series x with emulation via dev mode

I want to play it on my tv with a controller, I also want the game made to take advantage of that power in the first place :)

You still can...

I do agree, I wish Nintendo would stop skimping around with garbage hardware. Even if the game could look as good as Fenix Immortals Rising and run at 60fps would be awesome.

Agreed. I'm seeing some people emulating the game online a 4k60 and it looks absolutly fantastic. But ninentdo does nintendo things and goes to the beat of their own drum. I'd imagine their next console, if it follows the footsteps of the Switch goes for another innovation/portability vs chasing the high end like the PS5 and XSX.

That's what I mean, we all have 4K tv's now so docked mode running at 900p and down to 720p when the camera moves isn't going to look very good. That along with all of those jagged crawling edges is going to be distracting as hell.

I’m sure there’s cheaper options…

Yeah, sadly it doesn't have to be on par with them it just needs to be modern, I know the handheld aspect and affordability force a lot of concessions but they are also partnered with Nvidia who seem to have the best reconstruction tech going, I have no idea if that can be implemented into Nintendo's next console but it would be nice.

Didn’t they sign a 12 partnership with them?

Nintendo doing their magic with a game being 2 generations back in terms of graphics and one gen back in terms of performance and gameplay (yes, kinetic powers and fusing isn't new) and still gets 10/10 from major sites is so much lol that I don't even care about the pretentious gaming media anymore.

..........
Still....
f***ing Nintendo magic... game is a 10/10 in the end anyway lol

No way in hell will I hook up my Switch to the 4K screen again. I have mine connected to a 40" 1080p screen that doesn't make it look so bad.

All I have is a 4K screen so it just wouldn't work for me and I'm not someone who likes playing on small screens like handhelds.

Either my tv has upscaling, which I doubt, or I’m just used to the fuzzy/blurry look of Nintendo games….which I feel like they do it on purpose. That or my tv just plays it at 1080p, even tho it’s a five year old 4k Sammy.

Do current TVs only output in 4k, does one now have to by monitors or go to Best Buy’s affordable section where they sell 32” 720 TVs that sometimes cost as much as 55” 4k displays, to appreciate nintendos artistic vision of sub 1080p imagining

It's blurry on my oled switch, blurrier than I remembered Botw, but it's serviceable imo.
I just got to Hyrule again (a few hours in? ) and... idk... I doesn't feel... interesting? I LOVED botw from the first second, maybe this needs more time? Idk
