It seems like the Wii U is finally hitting it's stride and showing what a newer Shader Model and good Artistic choices can do for a console. Sure some people will move the goalposts and say :"Nintendo is a Master in Hiding things, so it isn't that impressive!". But that is what game development is about, if you make inefficient art choices, than you should consider another career ;).

Time for the doubters to start preparing dinner plates and cutlery, Iwata is bringing them Kentucky Fried Crow. :p

Sorry I just really love that GIF. Thank you Reggie and Iwata for giving us enough Material for generations to come! :D

I am very skeptical but I thought he kinda led us to believe this was the case already?

Anyway will re-buy a Wii U for this game.

I didn't think this was an issue?
To me it isn't, but I heard so many people whine about Iwata and that Nintendo "Cheats in Graphics by hiding things that you can't see". That it just felt a bit nice to see something that looked so gorgeous be fully in game :).

It's like "The Little Engine that could":). So, I got a bit excited I suppose. And in Crunchtime, so I am easily excited during the small breaks I get :p.

Quite a few people thought it was an in-engine cutscene, or said Nintendo cheated with showing CGI.

Not sure why anyone thought otherwise. The way the effects were layered in, Link's model, and the little action sequence at the bridge all pretty much showed that it was not CGI.

Not surprising, but glad to have the confirmation. I am stoked

And link looks absolutely adorable again! Not to mention the art style, they really are keeping that Impressionism feel to it and now fully open world. What is always nice with Nintendo games, art style can still improve even ;).

Even if it wasn't I wouldn't be worried about the game being anything less than amazing.

Yeah, Nintendo games have their own art style anyway. The haters call it cartoon graphics. Nintendo's games are beautiful on another level of eye candy. It would be a tough choice but if i could only own 2/3 consoles per gen, Nintendo's console would be one of three just for the unique games.
