Ryse: Son of Rome announced for PC

However many of those games seem to hit other PS platforms line Vita. MS is getting the games on their platforms as well.

Most of us are not interested in gaming on PC. For me the X1 is the way to go, and the PS4 is the way to go. I get all the best games and exclusives and they are on console which is the most convent option for most of us.

What? The only game from that list that is out for the Vita is MLB The Show '14. Are you talking about remote play?

That's fine but I was just making a point. For those who want the best of both worlds, PC and PS4 (and maybe a Wii U if you're up for it) is pretty much the way to go because you'll be getting some exclusives overlap if you get a PC and X1.

I agree...You can't go wrong with both consoles.Only fanboys think otherwise

Depends what site he happens to be on ;)

I see. Since Microsoft is only the publisher, they do not have control over what platforms Crytek chooses to release their game on.

Probably just means they can port to PC rather than other consoles. MS have had deals like that for years.

But again I'm sure MS actually had a hand in development? Seem to remember a large part of the end credits being taken up by MS employees.

There are Killzone games on Vita, there are LBP games on Vita, there are The Show games on Vita, there was SOCOM on PSP, there is Resistance on Vita, Uncharted on Vita, Rachet & Clank on Vita....Gran Turismo on Vita.....the franchises are on both PS platforms. Just like MS has franchises on both of their platforms.

But not all exclusives that are on Xbox are on PC. For example, Forza 1-5 are not on PC. Halo 3, Halo ODST, Halo Reach, Halo 4 are not on PC. Halo Wars is not on PC, Gears of War 3 is not on PC (GoW 4 has not been announced for PC), Sunset Overdrive is not for PC, Quantum Break is not on PC, Fable Legends is not PC, the Project Gotham Racing series is not on PC, Forza Horizon is not on PC, Forza Horizon 2 is not on PC, Crackdown is not on PC, Killer Instinct is not on PC, Halo MCC is not on PC, D4 is not on PC, Halo 5 is not on PC. I can list a s*** ton more games that are on Xbox that are not on PC.

The go to option would NOT be PS4/PC. The go to option would be X1/PS4.

FYI; Below is a PC game

Sunset Overdrive might come to PC seeing as MS don't own the rights.

First, all those games are different than the ones on ps4 and 3. They are spin offs and can be counted as completely different games. Second, that's great that vita has so many nice franchises on it, it's a nice complement to your consoles especially if you have ps+ for the additional offerings. But I never said ps console and vita were best of both worlds.

Nope, just saying you can play both franchises on both PS platforms, even though they are not the same games. Just like you can play games on Xbox and PC that are of the same franchise but different games. Yup, I can play Halo 1 and Halo 2 on PC. But Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 5, Halo Reach and Halo Wars are different games from the same franchise that can't be played on Microsoft Windows, only on Xbox. So those are different as well.

If you do PC/PS, you will miss out on an excessive number of AAA exclusives. If you do PC/Xbox you will miss out on an excessive number of AAA exclusives. If you are a PC gamer and want access to WOW, Arma, Guild Wars, then you need to stick with PC gaming.

I would never want to have a PC over an Xbox, with the PC missing so many great exclusives. It would be just gross to miss out.

I don't know why anyone would choose any platform over any other platform, with any platform missing so many great exclusives on other platforms. It would be just gross to miss out.

I agree. I am just speaking from a console only gaming perspective.

They are the same games. DR3 on PC will be the same game as the one on X1, same with the previous titles I mentioned: TF, gears of war, halo 1 and 2, the upcoming PC version of ryse but the ps titles are entirely different games. Only on the PS4, can you play kz, knack, infamous, the last of us, etc. That's the difference.

Anyways if you have the money to own everything then of course yeah you do it. My point is if you only have time or money to go with one console then ps4 would be the best choice since there is less overlap of exclusives than if you went for x1/PC.

We will have to agree to disagree then. The difference is substantially different than that, but we are not on the same page apparently.

You disagree the X1 exclusives coming to PC are the same games? It's pretty straightforward... if you play X1 exclusives i.e. DR3, Ryse or TF on the PC, you will be getting the exact same experience as everything about the game is the same except it looks better on the PC. If you play PS4 exclusives on the PC... wait, you can't.

There lies the difference. I don't know why we're not on the same page about this.

Can you not see the overlap?

There is a small amount of overlap, which I mentioned. But it's too small.

Hey I can get PC because it has Halo. Cool. It has Halo 1 and Halo 2. Where does Halo 3 overlap? Where does Halo 4 overlap? Where does Halo 5 overlap? Where does Halo MCC overlap? Where does the Halo ODST overlap? Where does Halo Wars overlap?

Should I go get the list of all the exclusives that are on Xbox that are not on PC? The list is HEAVILY lob sided to the Xbox. I imagine 50:1.

How are you not seeing that?

I also thought games and content coming out a year later didn't matter because nobody wanted it? Nobody wants Destiny DLC a year later but all of a sudden everyone wants Ryse a year later or DR3 a year later?

Like I said we are not on the same page so we will have to just bump heads on this one.

This is true....however, most games worth a damn are on both XB and pc...very few are XB exclusive. Actually, there are more PS exclusive games that are not on pc than there are XB games that are not on pc. And when it comes to exclusives, the pc has the most exclusives, just not what people would deem AAA exclusives (although, many of these non-AAA games tend to offer more "fun" than many AAA titles...in my opinion).

With that said, the best of all worlds is just to own all consoles. I can't fathom why "gamers" would want to alienate any one console and exclude themselves from so much gaming.

Come on, Kvally. Obviously I wasn't implying that all of Xbox exclusives can be playable on the PC. I said there is more overlap if you went for Xbox / PC than PS / PC. That's all I'm saying. If someone asked what console would be the most complementary, common sense says the PS one because there is simply more Xbox exclusives being released on the PC. I mean the gen has just started but we now hear that most of the X1's launch lineup is coming to PC in less than a year (TF, DR3, Ryse). For someone who is still on the fence about getting the X1, it is simply one more reason not to get it yet if one of those games the individual wanted will be playable on the PC.

It depends on the individual of course. If someone already has a PC, then getting Ryse and DR3 on the PC might be more appealing to them than spending another $400-500+, not to mention potentially higher graphical fidelity on the PC.

We might not be on the same page in terms of opinion, but you can't argue with facts.

Fact: More Xbox exclusives are released on PC = more overlap if you went for Xbox / PC than PS / PC.

Fact: Owning all consoles and PC would be the best case scenario to experience everything.

I got what you were saying, and totally agree. You're more likely to see XB games come out on pc than you are PS games on pc.
We're already seeing that now. Look at the top exclusives for XB1 that has already come out, TF is on pc, we know DR3 is coming to pc next month, and now news of Ryse coming to pc. Yet, chances are....never will be see Killzone, Infamous, or Last of Us come to pc.

I can't wait for tutu mods for the main protagonist. 300 PG Edition will be a reality. XD

Apples to orange comparison. DR3 is owned by Capcom, TF by EA/Respawn, Ryse by Crytek. Killzone, Infamous and Last of Us are all owned by Sony.

Apples to Apple comparison would be, where is Forza, Halo 3, Reach, ODST, Halo 4? Those are MS IPs and they have yet to grace the PC. Everyone keeps comparing Sony IPs to third party IPs that are exclusive to Xbox; I don't understand why.

For starters, right now, the discussion is about XB1/PS4/PC, but if you want to discuss 360/PS3/PC, the same would be the case. There are still more PS titles that are exclusive to PS that are worth a damn versus those on XB that are worth a damn....that are not on pc.
I mean, out of you apples to apples comparison, 4 of them are from the same tired series.
I could easily ask, where is God of War (take your pick of the several out), I could list all of the Killzones (at least some of the Halos are on pc), where are all the Infamous, little big planets, MGS4, Uncharteds?

Anyone could easily start listing exclusives, that's besides the point.....the point is, there are better rated exclusives on PS that not come to pc compared to XB exclusives that do not come to pc.

"If" we're talking about current gen, right now, you get more games going PS4/PC versus XB1/PC. Of course...folks that truly enjoy gaming, can just get all platforms.

Subjective, but we will agree to disgree.

Can't dispute that.

Well Naty was going on the "if you could only afford aspect". I personally would find it to be more affordable to own an Xbox and PS4, than an Xbox and PC, or a PS and PC. MOST of the PC's sold today can't run the best games that well compared to the more expensive gaming rigs. If money is a concern, and they want to play the best games, PC isn't going to save them money, if they want to play the games at their highest settings.

Come on, Kvally. Obviously I wasn't implying that all of Xbox exclusives can be playable on the PC.

Your terminology came off as it was the majority, not the minority.

I said there is more overlap if you went for Xbox / PC than PS / PC. That's all I'm saying.

Agreed.

Exactly.

Fact: More Xbox exclusives are released on PC = more overlap if you went for Xbox / PC than PS / PC.

True.

Fact: Owning all consoles and PC would be the best case scenario to experience everything.

True, so I guess it looks like we are both posting facts, both of which curtail to each others argument. It's all good.

I just think people should just let it go a bit. If one is care so much of their game looking as good, or almost as good as PS4, why not just get a PS4, since PS4 will always have parity with..............PS4.

If graphics were a concern, there wouldn't have been 85 million sales of the PS3 last year, and people would have bought 170 million Xbox 360's instead. If graphics truly are that concerning, they should be gaming on PC. Nothing has better graphics, better resolution, better fps and better performance than a gaming PC.

Maybe people see something else in PS3, like the bluray drive, or they are loyal to the brand. The fact is, if a multiplatform game perform worst than on 360, its not that they shouldn't know, & hence shouldn't get upset. If a PS3 fanboy were angry that Skyrim ran worse, I would laughed at him (In fact I had at them) & thought to myself, its their choice not to buy a X360 version of a game, when they know it ran multiplat games better, so why complain.

Anyway; you just answered your own question. Also, like you said yourself, not everyone like to play game on PC. ;)

I have a more powerful PC, but I still do game on my console, even when the game is available on PC, if I feel like it. A recent example is Batman AC, which I bought for my 36o because it was a good bargain.
I do know what I am getting looks worst, but it doesn't affect me much.
