Ryse: Son of Rome announced for PC

Looking forward to this. Mods will do this game a lot of justice.

It's pretty much sold all it will in any critical sense on the console, now a chance to work on MS's other platform. Don't see the issue. This and DR3 will most likely become XBL Games with Gold in the near future, thus free anyways.

Mods will be insane, almost a completely new game will emerge.

Well I assume it is a dual GPU set up. Most likely a high end i7 and 8-16GB ram. How you running to your display, through HDMI or display port for 60FPS ?
16GB of RAM, lol. Those were the days.

Nice. Good news for PC owners. Beautiful game with a somewhat limited gameplay. Still enjoyable though.

Wow. More reason to upgrade my PC. It could be a benchmark game on PC. Imagine how it will look on PC!!!

I'd rather they made a version that was so amazing visually that even the 4k crowd have to play it at 1080p. Nothing screams underutilized power than 4k game graphics, imo.

I wasn't interested when it was only on xb1...I won't pretend to be interested now.

Good news for gamers that wanted to play it but not get an xb1, but for me...meh.

I have 8GB in my machine, used to have 16GB but I took one of the kits out and put it in another machine because I wasn't really getting close to maxing it out.

Good to see Crytek/MS support PCs. You'd think that's something Sony would do since they are "for the gamers". lol

Can you show me where on that link GoW, Uncharted, KZ, LBP, Infamous, Gran Turismo, MLB Baseball etc.... are for PC?

Hey, I am still rolling with 4GB DDR2  Is 16GB not enough for 4K gaming ?
You better get more than 4 gb. And make sure you got a good cpu too.

I know my 3.5 year old laptop wasn't meant for gaming on the go, but even with a quad-core i740 cpu, 4 gb cpu ram and a 4gb GT445 gpu, most games run mediocre. It runs Microsoft Office, the internet, all kinds of programs at once great. As well as some low key games. But anything like Diablo 3, that free Battlefield Online game and Hawken (I was in the beta test), games ran no better than my 360. In fact, I'd say 360 games ran smoother unless I turned down all the visual notches to low/med. What a waste of 8gb of ram. lol.

MS has nothing to do with Ryse either other than publishing on Xbox.
I see. Since Microsoft is only the publisher, they do not have control over what platforms Crytek chooses to release their game on.

That's why PS4/PC = best of both worlds. Lots of nice Xbox exclusives are releasing on the PC platform.

1 less reason to buy an X1 for me. I will be getting this.

I hear you. When Final Fantasy XI came to PS2 and eventually the 360 i had no reason to buy a PC. I thought about going all out and getting a high end PC when Final Fantasy XIV came out. Turns out my mid level PC can run it just fine and when the game went to the PS4 i again had no reason to get a great gaming PC. Looks like i'll never get a top end gaming PC since there's not many games i can't get on consoles.

MS has nothing to do with this in any capacity. They don't own the IP or trademarks.

The same place Halo: MCC and Forza 5, Forza Horizons 2 on PC are.

I'd say the Xbox One/Wii U is the best of both worlds for me personally. The console with the best controller, features, exclusive games and potential in the One. Then you have the console with the best first party games and the most unique games this industry has to offer in the Wii U. The PS4/PC combo would be great if i had no other choice but it just doesn't give me everything the One/Wii U combo does. That's just me though.

Ryse was one of the games than kept my interest in getting a X1 (i have a ps4). So i am excited its coming to PC. I have to agree with the poster above stating the PS4/PC is the best of both worlds. You can play a Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Titanfall, etc on the PC but Sony exclusives rarely if ever hit the PC.

Pretty much most of the X1 major launch games are coming to PC in less than a year with the exception of Forza 5. Yet no major PS4 exclusives such as Killzone:SF, Knack, Infamous: SS, MLB The Show '14, TLoU remastered, Resogun have been on the PC yet.

However many of those games seem to hit other PS platforms line Vita. MS is getting the games on their platforms as well.

Most of us are not interested in gaming on PC. For me the X1 is the way to go, and the PS4 is the way to go. I get all the best games and exclusives and they are on console which is the most convent option for most of us.
