Latest Ryse vid on gamersyde shows combat models are obviously lower quality than cutscene models, as expected. Especially the random barbarians that you dispatch. Yes the cutscenes look great, and they did a great job with the mocap, but don't expect that to extend perfectly into actual gameplay.
I see people are still repeating the
discredited and inaccurate Digital Foundry footage that they already admitted was botched.
Here is some contrast/color/sharpness accurate footage of Xbox One MULTIPLAYER, not single player. As expected, it looks worse and has a worse framerate compared to single player.
If devs had more time to work on CoD it would be 900p, but probably not 1080p. Although CoD is a pretty low tech next gen game, so it's not out of the question. Even after devs get a handle on the ESRAM (edit, made a mistake), there's still a ~50% GPU power gap along with faster unified memory and greater GPGPU. It won't ever reach the near-parity of 360/PS3. Just the facts.
As far as the power gap being important or not, or whether people should just get a PC: PS4 offers the best price/performance of the three. That's a pretty compelling reason if you want to play multiplat games like BF4.
Not a surprise that the real industry insiders and people who understood the tech specs have been right.
