She's admitted that she screwed up.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/08/clinton-email-truthful-answer-226725

Like the time she claimed she was under sniper fire in Bosnia that so many here cling to. She retracted those remarks a week later and admitted the mistake.

This is the complete opposite of Trump. He double, triples, and quadruples down on lies. He never admits there was a mistake.

Sometimes the lie isn't the problem it's the way that she tries to cover it up, I'd respect her so much more if she just said "I was wrong to do that and I apologize" and stopped at that, when she adds the excuses it makes the apology seem fake. There is no doubt she has spent the better part of 3 decades having to defend herself from false accusations from the right but she only has herself to blame for how she responds to those attacks.

That being said her lies vs the ones Trump tells are different, his are childish school kid types of lies that when he gets caught he tries to pretend that he never said it or he doubles down and blames others. The guy is completely unfit to lead an idiot parade let alone our country.

Trump hates immigrants but married a woman who can barely speak English...

Interviewer: "would you bomb Europe with nuclear missiles?"

Trump: "I wouldn't take it off the table.."

He said that before. Did he say it again?
Not that I know of. I'm just now finding out he said this ever. But for all of the talk about people leaving the U.S. if trump is elected, it sounds like nowhere in the world will be safe from him.

22% truthfulness still isn't exactly awesome. :tounge:

Well my point wasn't about her being super truthful its about the double standard she is held to on being honest. Also if you only want to go by full true its hard to find someone that much better that was running. Kasich is at 25. Bernie is at 13. Rubio at 13. O'Malley and Gary Johnson are at 0. Very small sample size with those two by I just wanted to mention them.

And that's why I don't vote or even pay attention to politics. The truth is sliced up and divided into different "levels" of truthfulness.

Off topic. Good lairs tell the truth most of the time, because nothing deluded people by putting lie ball in a bag of truth balls. In any case, most politicians lie, you cannot blame them often, as people do not like to hear truth, they like to hear what pleases them.

Back to topic.

Julian Assange mentioned (supposely) that not only Hillary know about the arm deals to rebels, she supposedly sanction them, include what today known as ISIS, which she denied, in the hacked emails.

If its false, then that will be it, but if true, what do you think will change, if at all. Just to be fair, I do not think she knew these rebels turned out to be ISIS. but if she did lie, & also her questionable decision, I think we should be critical.

It makes me so uncomfortable, and uneasy, knowing Trump will soon be getting security briefings.
Not related to above quote, but have you already seen Clinton cash. Any thoughts? How much you think is true? Dismissed as friction?

I can't wait until Trump drops nuclear bombs on Europe over getting picked on on Twitter.

Haven't watched it yet. Been binging Stranger Things mighty recommended.

In other news.....about voting/endorsing Trump.

"I've had a lot of people pound on me about you need to do this, you need to do this, this is about the party," Kasich said. "And I love my party, but I love my country. And I have to be true to myself. I wish that I could be fully enthusiastic. I can't be."

Another scathing character assassination from a life long republican. More to read at link. Short, but good, read. http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/07/opinions/reagan-republican-trump-no-clothes-lavin/index.html

A former government official in Republican administrations since the presidency of Ronald Reagan, Frank Lavin is the CEO of Export Now, a company that helps U.S. brands sell online in China. The opinions expressed in this commentary are his.

From this premise, I will do something that I have not done in 40 years of voting: I will vote for the Democratic nominee for president. The depressing truth of the Republican nominee is that Donald Trump talks a great game but he is the emperor who wears no clothes.

In the early days of my startup, there was a moment when I could have shut the firm, declared bankruptcy, and walked away from my obligations, but I have employees, investors, clients, and customers -- all of whom rely on my commitment. I have a moral obligation to stand by people who are standing by me. No wonder so many Americans are skeptical of market economics if the system can be so easily manipulated by Trump.

There are many issues on which Hillary Clinton and I are not in agreement. However on the core foreign policy issues our country faces -- alliance relationships, security commitments, and international engagement -- she comes closer to Republican views than does Trump. And Donald Trump makes me cringe. I am voting for Hillary. And I vote in Ohio.
