I might, but I'll say "no thank you." Because Nintendo is still no proving themselves even if the external design looks sexy

I'll buy it later this year. Earliest I can see is summer when Splatoon 2 launches.

Not for me. From what we knew before It didn't sound like something I would want, and now that they have done the big reveal event my mind hasn't changed.

Going to wait. If Dragon Quest comes out and releases in the US I'll get it. Hopefully will be around $250 by then.

Absolutely no reason to purchase it. Zelda is the only game and it's getting little, to no, benefit playing it on the Switch over the Wii U.

I'm pretty sure this will do better than WiiU, but less than WiiU+3DS.

The hardware, prices and online can all f*** off.

Zelda and Mario look amazing, but not new console worthy for me.

I think this will be the last Nintendo console. I didn't think that about the WiiU.

Best of luck to Nintendo.

My thoughts exactly. Besides, I bought a Wii U and a few games. Played them once and never played them again. Damn thing just collects dust. Never again.

No Thank You.

I knew Switch would be trash. Just have to look at Wii and Wii U to know the direction Ninty strives for now. What I didn't think was the accessory prices would be in the stratosphere. Nobody saw that coming.

It's amazing that back in the day, they had powerful systems..... NES beat out other systems to revive gaming, SNES had great mode 7 and audio, N64 had some console innovations like AA and could do 3D better than Saturn/PS1. Even GC was powerful. It was comparable to Xbox OG. But with Wii it's been a sliding slope down to the bottom. It's now all about hoping for a catchy gimmick. Worked with Wii, didn't with Wii U. Will Switch's grab and go gaming with a docking station be a hit? Who knows, but seeing what has been shown, MS and Sony have nothing to fear.

When the biggest western showcase is FIFA (which has been around forever) and a 6 year old game Skyrim, and half the Japanese PR was a suit talking garbled speech with nothing to show (with some awful translators to boot), you know software support is already lagging.

Glad I got my preorder in. Maybe the haters will be right this time and it will be their last console lol

Pre-Ordered because of Zelda. If I had a Wii U I would have got it on there and waited on Switch.

Not going to lie, I pre-ordered just to hedge my bet in case there is a miracle that makes me change my mind. If I hear they short supply the West (again) then I can make a tidy profit by selling it off.

The only thing I am interested in is Zelda, Mario, and 1-2 Switch (as a party game). To outfit myself for 3 games I would be looking at:

$300 console
$80 pro controller to play Zelda/Mario
$80 extra set of controllers to play 1-2 Switch
$30 charger for controller
$160 games (Zelda, Mario, 1-2 Switch)
------
$650 + tax for 3 games. That is quite an investment for a couple months of amusement. I can think of other ways to spend that same amount and get more bang for my buck. Maybe some of you see more than 3 games, I would guess if you could get 10 great games over the next couple years it could be worth it. I just don't see that happening with this system for quite some time and by then it should be much cheaper.

There are some stop watches that I can sell you for $74.99 since they will be bought and shipped by me with love and that is one less reason to by a switch.

OK, that right there is just plain funny.

The more I think the more I think I'll just cancel my pre-order and not even worry about making a buck off this. There is no way this garbage is going to sell out anywhere.

At launch it will probably sell out and be hard to find. If you get rid of it quick you'll probably make a few bucks.

If they make under 250,000 for the US release then yeah maybe it will sell out. But the only way I make a buck is if there is a 250,001st person out there wanting one. Doubt it.

Barely got one after having 2 in my cart via best buy only to get a one is left message.
Went in to a local gamestop which had 2 but both were gray and if I buy another i wanted the pink and blue colored one...
While in the store the last 2 sold out.

I think you guys are being a bit harsh. Trash and garbage should stay where they belong... In reference to the Ouya.

There are cool things about the device, and Ninty is certainly providing different experiences.

It's terrible of me, but I hope this accelerates Nintendo going third party.

If they aren't going to drop the gimmicky bulls*** and just give a set-top box with their pro controller, then I want just to buy their games on Xbox.

I don't know about the others but I know I'm overemphasizing to make a point and get a rise out of a couple here.

I really wanted to like it. I hate seeing Ninty doing a smash to their loyalists who will overpay to have it at launch. When it comes down in price it will be servicable for the couple must-have exclusives that come over the next year or two.

Agreed completely. I was hyped initially but now after the reveal and with the anemic launch line up I'm going to wait for a while.

Wasn't helped by such poor translating during the presentation

Nintendo are also relying on a game that's not been a system seller in recent years. To launch without mario is a mistake
