Did you hear the one about the White House panel asking the states for their voter rolls?

http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-...house-panel-asks-states-for-their-voter-rolls
Why not just have a federal, centralised electoral based voter system? You'd be able to track peoples movements from electorate and ensure that voters can't double up.

I'm sure the data on voter movements would be invaluable to candidates too (not that a political party would ever abuse voters privacy, I'm sure.)

Have many people ever been charged with voter fraud? I wouldn't think it would be the individuals that you'd need to worry about. It would be the manipulation somewhere between the attended vote, and the announcement of the results that would be the point of contention...

Not one post made in this thread was attacking you or anything remote close to that. Reread the post you think it was.

Voter fraud is almost a complete fantasy brought to you by the Trump administration. I say almost because you have one here and their every election cycle but never enough to sway an election. Every state controls their own booths. Centralizing voting and voter registration would be a big mistake (at least here in the US)

A federal voting ID system in a country the size of the US would be extremely expensive and have tons of problems. In 2010 they took a national census, and that cost $20 Billion dollars. That's just to count people.

How do I "prove" I'm a citizen? I was born here, I have some piece of paper from a hospital saying so (easily faked). I have a social security number and a card (non-photo id). Still, people still identities all the time. I have a state driver's license, again easy to get and isn't proof of US citizenship. I have school records.... I pay taxes, but still, all that can be faked or may not even exist. I would be the simple case too. Throw in all the people who have citizenship in other ways, dual citizenship, etc.

All of our government agencies are linked here in Australia. I think, with it being illegal to not vote(I'm pretty sure the fines they rack up are massive. The electoral Commission can see each reason you listed for not voting too, but they can't comment)/be registered to vote may have been a big part of them being able to link them up so readily, but at the same time, why would it be so easy for someone to run a credit check on you, that shows every unpaid credit card payment or student loan you owe, but seem too expensive to crosscheck d.o.b and names? Can't they see previously unpaid fines that have resulted in The persuit of a conviction, your previous postal addresses, and registered places of employment? I betcha all that info would be around if they needed...

Here, if you go to Welfare for unemployment, they can see everything from your tax file and business numbers, your asset claims, loans against your name, electorate, previously listed addresses, all that jazz. It is, however, for them to comment, or shape their judgmental on your suitability to a claim, as a result of this information being available.

The census is, for any country, a massive expense, but that's in large part to the manner it's administered. The underlying networks of social security, health care, and 'Big' brother's are already there. The relationship between the states and big government seem to be one of the bigger reasons as opposed to cost.

But I'm just an outsider that's pretty ignorant, realistically... And these morning Mimosa's are going straight to my head.

MMM... Jason Momoa should change his surname to Mimosa. They're both super delicious, and branding is the future. Or something.

Apparently thd apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Eric Trump accused of double dealing to steal money from cancer charity.
I hope he gets hit by a bus and his father drops dead of a heart attack when informed. I hate that family so much now.

Id still slam it into Ivanka though.

25 million people vs 325 million. You'd think in the age of IT that would still be easy, but it isn't. A 325 million row database is nothing, but who collects and maintains all that data? That's a ton of people, with new ones coming in and old ones dying off, and moving from state to state. We fear big government, because a bureaucracy needed to manage all this would be a nightmare.

And yes, the 50 states do matter too. States handle a lot because of our history and simple common sense. We're huge, and we're fairly unique in how the states handle a lot of things.

rankandfile? LOL.. What I'm talkin isn't politics its tiredness of listening to complaining and bitchin..way different there partner

Like I said, most here are active outside of these forums. I know I am. What we share here is to make sure the imbecilic regime never feels normal. We have to share it. We have to keep people aware. This regime is disgusting, embarrassing, corrrupt, and it makes us look pathetic to the rest of the world.

PM me the name of the person(s) who are forcing you to read this thread and I'll have a talk with them about it. You shouldn't be forced to read this thread if you don't want to.

You could just...I don't know, not read the contents of this thread? Who are you to come here and tell long time posters what they should or should not be spending their time on?

A man walks into a bar. He sees a group of people laughing, drinking, and having a good time. He clears his throat and announces: "Why are you people wasting your time here? Don't you have better things to do? What's the point of all this?" and leaves the bar.

Guys please stop complaining. Poor people aren't real people so who cares if they die? Please get over it.

Yea guyz we really need some balance in this thread, i think some of you are going to have to start hating on the poor and disabled, especially if they're children. You know for the sake of being fair and balanced.
