Nah, people stick to what they’re comfortable already rather than learn something new, for any new game or ip. The industry is in something they don’t know where or who to targetSo not engaging enough as a GaaS to keep people coming back?

The amount Fortnite adds and changes is impressive. They are the problem, though. They are the reason for these bad games. COD, Battlefield, Halo, Titanfall ( in nonexistant now), Gears of War, etc. All once good games that have nose dived quality wise since trying to go GaaS. GaaS literally ruins games.
Is there really a good GaaS game. Fortnite seems the same now as it did at launch. Destiny has been a s*** shw since day 1.
OK. Lol.The amount Fortnite adds and changes is impressive.

They are just a few months removed from adding a racing mode, a rock band mode, and the lego minecraft knockoff. That is substantial without even considering anything they did to Battle Royale.OK. Lol.
Its an ecosystem in and of itself at this point. I don't like Fortnite but I can't deny the progress it has made. They are just a few months removed from adding a racing mode, a rock band mode, and the lego minecraft knockoff. Graphics can enhance the experience by being optimized and using less resources, increase fps or other stuff, granted with more time in development.I wonder how much graphics play into it? Back in the day, leaps in graphics over a few years were massive. You knew you were playing a 2-3 year old game. I mean, back in 2005, playing an old game would have been a massive drop in visual quality. I remember a time when playing a 2 year old game would have been a massive step back in visuals.
Now? Graphics don't advance nearly as much, and seem to scale to hardware better. Do I really care from a graphics perspective if I'm playing 8 year old Siege or 1 year old COD? (or even COD from a year or two ago)? For a multiplayer FPS game, I'm turning down graphics options for framerate anyway.
I think we're mostly going on gameplay, and a game that has a good gameplay loop can just hold on longer.

Graphics have never made a good game bad or a bad game good. Same goes for 60+ FPS.I wonder how much graphics play into it? Back in the day, leaps in graphics over a few years were massive. I am liking Gas Station Simulator! Bought it today. It’s nice and chill. Just finished painting my first gas station ️I'm playing a lot more off beat games (at least for me). Stuff like Power Wash Simulator, House Flipper, Gas Station Simulator, Snowrunner, Expeditions, MLB 24, etc.
I have my eye on Construction Simulator right now.
5 years a go I wouldn't even looked twice at any of this stuff.
