the guy playing sucks for one lol.
If the game is broken it is no worse than any Bethesda release in the past 10 years. I own it, it plays nice but have not completed it so maybe there is something horrible I have yet to come across.

I hope to God they're working on a Generations type Sonic game for the current consoles.

They need to make amends for this disaster.
 
They really should have followed up on SG.

Best Sonic game since Sonic Adventure.
 
I really don't get the criticisms on the design, I kind of like them. Seems fresh and a well intended reboot. That is just the looks though, from what I hear the game itself is quite awful. Oh SEGA, why must you hurt my heart so.
 
The game must actually play much differently than what it looks in all the gameplay videos out now because it seems to me the ultimate crime of Sonic Boom is simply being average.
 
My daughter begged for this for Christmas and I reluctantly bought it for her despite only hearing awful things about it. Having said that though hardly triple A it isn't that bad. It is almost a lesser Ratchet and clank type experience . The humor is fine for her age group (she's 9) and some of the platforming can be fun. 2 player mode is awful, but as a single player game I have played far worse.
Perhaps I just miss the glory days of platformers but give it a chance you may like it.

Seeing some gameplay, I don't think it looks as bad as people are making it out to be. I've heard comparisons to Sonic '06 and that's just something I disagree with. The gameplay at least looks fun and serviceable in Boom, if only a bit mediocre. That said, I'd recommend checking out the Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures games if you got a hankering for 3D platformers. I bought it on my 360 and had an awesome time.

I saw your thread on pac man and I was definitely planning on checking it out.
As for Sonic, it is leagues better then 06. This one is at least playable. I'm also enjoying it more then last years outing.
 
Sonic Boom was slut shamed on the internet the day it was announced and that is too bad. Much better game than it is given credit for.

Just got a copy yesterday, no time to play yet but looking forward to giving it a go this weekend.

Played the demo and actually liked it better than the Sonic Lost World demo FWIW. If I can find this used or on a super deal, I'll likely grab it. :laugh: on the "slut shamed".

The demo is pretty indicative of the full game, if you enjoyed it you should like the main one.
 
Will have to be something pretty special to get me interested.
 
The old-school remix looks cool. Kind of like when Konami made the Rebirth series on WiiWare for their classic games.
 
Cause let's face it apart from Generations (buy it if you haven't) Sonic hasn't had a good game in ages while mario hasn't been in nearly as many stinkers.

So.. who has the best music? And which game/track in particular stands out for you? For me it's Sonic and stand out being Sonic 2.
