Amazon Pre Orders? DON'T CHANGE YOUR PAYMENT TYPE

This is a real horror story, I would be absolutely livid with Amazon but you are at there mercy....don't understand why they couldn't just go in there and bump a late preorder and restore yours, in all likelihood whoever they bumped wouldn't complain and the situation would be resolved.

I just checked my preorders and both are showing launch day delivery and I'm not touching them, preordered both on June 10th. I did notice on the XB1 it doesn't list the order as a Day One Edition, it just says Xbox One console. I could have swore at one point it said Day One just like the games I have preordered. Does anyone elses XB1 preorder actually say Day One on the invoice?

It really is unbelievable. I've never had any problems with Amazon, in all my years of buying and selling, but this is crazy. The person who I ultimately spoke with was very apologetic and helpful and said that if there was any way to override the system, they would do it. I think that after 3 conversations and 2 hrs on the phone, I've just resigned myself to the fact that I ain't getting one from them on Nov 22nd. Who knows, maybe stores will have extra stock?

Either way, I'll have a PS4 on the 15th, and I'm looking forward to that. I'll have a One soon too, by hook or by crook.

Update. Without ever having called or chatted with amazon, ingot an email today saying that the estimated delivery has changed to Nov 22nd.

So, bullet dodged.

Now back to laughing at the BF4 comparisons, already in progress.

Glad I saw this thread, my husband wanted me to change to our other credit card on Amazon because we can get 5% back with the new one with purchase from Amazon and I told him "No way, it could mess up our Xbox pre-order".
 
Yup, mine just got changed back to Nov 22nd, too. DR3 and Ryse, here I come!


All that angst for nothing. It would've helped if the Amazon customer service people didn't give out conflicting and contradictory info. Just sayin'.
 
Only just seen this thread, thats great news to anyone that was messed around. i could see loosing your place if you tried changing things right by release date, but with weeks to spare that would of been crazy.
