This is true, which drives home the point that social programs help people get out of poverty.
These conservative states are so anti-social programs, funding for schools, etc....that the poor population suffers for it.
Facts don't hurt me at all Qbert, the fact is, if you don't think millions of people are not milking the system and giving the answers that they need to qualify for these programs. I just don't know what to tell you.
The fact is I qualify for most the crap I'm talking about. The fact is I don't take it because it's not the Govts job to provide me with anything except National defense, basic education, Besides that they owe me nothing.
Your not understanding what I'm trying to say. Instead of going without people think they are entitled to certain things. They vote for who gives it to them. It's an endless cycle. They give up our rights in the process. As more and more people find it ok.
A lot of people want everything now. They don't save up, to make $300 purchases.
I find it funny you keep saying these govt statistics are facts. When if money stops pouring into these programs. The very people handing out these checks will not have a purpose of our tax dollars paying their saleries.
You cannot base facts on one side of a problem. You have to look at both sides.
I just don't think you want to. By the way why you were looking up all those facts, how many temp agencies are there how many are they so called employing? How many positions do they have available. I could go to ANY city in the US and go work for a temp agency. There's work out there, it's just the fact that some people are to good for it

Here's your problem....I NEVER said that people weren't milking the system. What I did say, was that "most" on welfare need the help. You, on the other hand, said 90% of those on welfare were lazy.
FACTS show that the majority on welfare are children, elderly and the sick. So, you were dead WRONG saying 90% were lazy.

yes, but that's where your not understanding my point is the people my age on it are, their kids grow up thinking it's ok. That you don't have to work,and then they get into the cycle far less older people work the system but it's the baby boomers who started doing this.
I'm talking from personal experience. I know so many people, and related to so many people that their parents worked the system, then my cousins, sister, friends started working the system. Now their kids have started doing it.
Not a single one has a problem except their junkies or drunks.
As far as you calling me a rascist you never said that word. What you did say was something about people thinking. Blacks were only on it when just as many whites are.
To me when someone thinks that only minorities are on welfare their rascist, and you grouped me with them, when I never mentioned race.

1. You said it, you're speaking from personal experience. Facts and stats tell us a different story. Stats continue to show that welfare helps the majority out, has in the past, and continues to do so. They also show that most on welfare are like what I said, children, elderly, and the sick. This has been the case for ages. You think that if these kids stayed on it as you put it, then stats would show that....but that's contrary to the truth.

you really need to do some research on the "myths of welfare" so that you can see that your idea of people on welfare do not represent the majority....they only represent the anecdotal stories that are personal to you.

I'm not saying that's the case for the majority. Some are just to good to take jobs that they think are beneath them. Others are cought in the cycle.
Also you fail to see that you can't just go on govt statistics yeah 90% is likely to high, but it's pro lay just as far off as these stats you are posting. It's not just the people that receive this "help" that get paid by these things.
It's fed, state local employes that get paid for having to work all this stuff out. They don't want to be unemployed.
I'm not just talkin about welfare, this includes SS checks, disability checks,food stamps, housing, free cable, free cell phones. Heck my 10 year old son moms gets a SS check on him, and I have NO CLUE why.
I also I ready stated that you never actually use that word. It was me. When, you started bringing race into the issue, lumping people together who just think minorities are on this crap, they tend to have some racial bias at the very least.

He won't tell me, he accidentally told me one day. That his mom was getting his SS check and he was going to gatti town. When I asked her about it she acted like he was lying. How the hell is a kid going to lie about going to Gatti town when he gets his SS check.
Also I wish I could but I only get him every other weekend.
She has him taking pills for torrets. The kid dosnt have it. I used to do the same stuff when I was a kid, she's doing what my parents did shoving pills down his throat instead of letting him grow out of it.
My grandfather did the same thing. One day it just stops. They had me in Prozac Ritalin depacote and melirill by the time I was 10. Stated shoving pills down my throat when I was in third grade. Oh man I need to stop before I get on a rant about dr giving young kids all kinds of pills.
