And this is why gaming on the PC is an entirely different experience!

I've always been of the mindset that if you like the work that someone has done, DONATE!

Thanks for the info guys.

I know Steam versions aren't massively different, just really in how they actually load the game.. but I have never seen a mod that didn't require different instructions, and most require you disable Steam from updating your game.

I guess it's just often slightly too much hassle for me.. especially early in a game's life. Once the game itself is done being patched I then often try, and usually the mods just don't work on my Steam copies.

ENB for GTA was the most obvious one where everyone posting about it had pirated the game.. the mod just didn't work for Steam.

Usually (at least with Bethesda games) that's only if you use the community patch mods. I always use them as they always make the game more stable and clear up weird clipping and so forth.

Smells more like a load of horsesh!t to me.

If you didn't already know that PC gaming is a better experience before then you must have never owned a PC that could play games at max settings.

This has been me since the 90's. But now I finally have a PC that can play most new games and I can safely say I'm in no rush to get a "next gen" console.

And that's what most people who have capable PC's would say. All hail the master race. ROFL.
