Anybody else's Amazon pre-order not even prepped for ship yet?

as for me, my box said it was in Memphis at 5:11. it is now in Orlando 6ish.. it took less than 1 hour to get here?
not even flying could it get here that fast? but I am not complaining

OK, so last night I call UPS to ask them to hold my package at the distribution center. Even though I had a tracking number I was told that I would have to wait until it was in their hands to ask for a hold. Alright, fair enough. Around 11:30 I check and see that not only do they have it, it's actually at my local distribution center. I'm guessing Amazon must have been strategically placing their stock ahead of time. So I call and yes, they are going to hold it for me. Success!

This morning I stop by the distribution center bright and early to pick up my package before work, only to find out that apparently I had called "too late" last night. So my Xbox One is going to spend the day taking a ride around Suburban Maryland. Meanwhile I am left to hope that the driver actually does notice the hold on the package and remembers to take it out of his truck this evening so that I can pick it up tonight. That doesn't seem like something I should have to worry about, but I've had issues with UPS in the past, so there it is. I guess that's what they call "logistics".

Ah well, file under "First World Problems". :)

Man,,,Yesterday my order was "Preparing for shipment" and Amazon charged my CC. Checked this morning and now my order said "Not shipped yet" and my CC charge is gone. What the f@ck!!!
 
So...Talked to amazon, they said that I will receive it on Monday at the earliest...Maaaan, so frustrated, got already BF4, Dead Rising, Ryse and AC4 plus an additional controller and no console. :(:crazy::smash:
 
On live chat with Amazon right now....trying to see if it's truly coming in today or not.

If the UPS tracking number says today it will show up today if not they it comes when the tracking number does.

I find it very difficult to trust that they will deliver this today by 8PM to my door. I mean hell...it's being packed and prepared shipment any time today lol...that's funny...yes, I guess it will be a jet flying to Houston.

Xbox One won't be delivered until Monday. They said they didn't realize the "Demand for the day one version." That didn't stop them from offering more pre-orders three days ago though. I was lied to four times by them. First, they claimed I changed the payment method. Then they said it was a delivery system issue. Now, it's because the demand wasn't realized properly. Then the finally said I was guaranteed to get it today. That's as the last call yesterday. They offered me another $100 credit. They gave me $140 total credit. It's Amazon credit and not a credit on the purchase itself. I didn't ask for any of it. They offered and I was hesitant to take the other $100 because that would justify they screwed the pooch. The woman said it's not justifying anything and it's their way of saying sorry.

It's really annoying I had to waste all this time and I trusted Amazon to get it to me on launch day. If there's ever another "next-generation," and I'm alive for it, I surely will be going brick and mortar for consoles. But Amazon is done with all pre-purchases across the board for me. This was just unacceptable and a waste of my time.

She said I wasn't the only one that will be having this issue.....

If it's not the "Day One" edition, there's going to be another problem. One problem at a time though.
 
mine came in, fedex estimated 3pm delivery and unfortunately they did show up at 3 :)

looks like its just about done with the update, i hope game downloads will be faster than this update as as download speed goes ,

Sorry to hear bro. Seriously, if they f*** you anymore... contact the MS Store. They were pretty legit with their release, which is amazing considering they were up against Amazon, Best Buy and others who have arguably better logistics.

Plainview, you're issue is the same exact one as mine.

So far Amazon with me has given me a free Xbox One game of my choice, 1-day shipping free on that Xbox One game, $50 credit back to my credit card (not amazon credit), and then another $25 refund in cash for the shipping on the Xbox One, which won't be arriving till Monday.

Mine was a Day One edition however they said they ran out, so I'm getting a standard. You may want to double check with them by calling them.

I agree with you, when it comes to pre-ordering from Amazon, I'm going elsewhere.

That sucks. I've never had any issues with Amazon in the 10+ years i've done business with them. I'd kill to be you though. Wish i had an Xbox One coming on Monday. It'll be a couple weeks before i get one if i can even find one.
