Yeah PS4 isn't capable of BF4 ultra at 1080p 60, that's just common sense, there's not a Titan in there.
We will get non-playable cutscenes that look very good, though. See The Dark Sorcerer tech demo.
Absolutely agree! I wasn't dismissing it -- but more so wanting to see what all the hype was. I mean look at quotes like this:
you automatically start expecting something big.
Who is lazy jones?
That's like comparing a nice looking closet with a nice looking home. Some fanboy on Neogaf.
If you guys think BF4 is the game to beat, I just loaded up Metro:Last Light on my PC 30mins ago. Holy f***! Now I have a new threshold to reach. Have any of you guys seen this game at the highest settings? I'm running it in 3D and it's insane the amount of tessellation and texture detail and lighting is in this game!

You just contradicted yourself from your original statement.

I've run Metro:Last Light on my 680 on ultra w/ tessellation. It does look fantastic, although it's also a single player game with a lot of tunnels and closed areas. A game like BF4 with 64 players on large maps and jets and copters flying everywhere can't afford the same level of detail.
lol you said the opposite on txb, me and Qbert were arguing with you about crysis 1 versus console gamesOh well..
Scale is very important with graphics. Imagine them trying to do scale like BF4 -- hmm.. well, there goes the 1080p resolution.
No I didn't. I know that BF4 is doing more. I just like the enormous detail in the shaders and textures in Metro. KZ:SF has a smaller world than BF4 just as Metro does, but it doesn't have the detail that Metro does.
I get 60fps about 98% of the time with my Titan SC....A Titan can't even run Battlefield 4 in Ultra at 1080p 60 FPS, but i'm pretty sure thats because the game was optimized for AMD GPUs.
Back on topic. Killzone definitely has the edge. Especially if we are comparing BF4 on the PS4.
But how can you see things like dynamic global illumination in a well-lit outdoor environment where the lighting will remain generally the same? And Killzone for sure uses displacement mapping for tessellation. Everything is not always as discernible from the eyes as you would think.Well, if I can't see it, I have the right to question it. I played the first level of BF4 the other day and while I was blown away at how clear and crisp they made the textures and shaders, I was disappointed that they didn't have enough time to make assets with displacement mapping (most likely due to the large worlds and destruction) or detailed textures (moving up close to a wall and seeing detail maintained). I can assume those major things aren't in the game at all, otherwise it would have been shown almost immediately like Metro: Last Light and Tomb Raider.
