He runs it to maximize earnings. I’m sure it’s of his own accord.Absolutely not. Jim Ryan has overseen one of the most profitable periods in the history of Playstation. He's earned his retirement.
They aren't that profitable.Absolutely not. Jim Ryan has overseen one of the most profitable periods in the history of Playstation. He's earned his retirement.
He favors mobile over consoles
Candy crush makes a little over a billion a year in revenue not profit, of course I'm sure it's not that expensive to make but it won't just be a couple of years. They are taking on over 13k new employees as well as a lot of office buildings and other overhead, those costs will be significant and that's not even taking into account the $70 billion. They both see that just focusing on consoles isn't the way to go.
Candy crush alone will get them the 69Bn back within a few years.
Keep in mind that Activision has $13 billion in cash or cash equivalents, so we're already down to $56 billion to make up.I remember when PS fans said that Xbox would never make their money back on the 2.5 billion dollar purchase of Minecraft. They made it back in 1 year. COD, WoW and Candy Crush print money. MS will make it back in no time.
