Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

I watch Doc a lot. He says every game is dead. lol

He doesn't say CoD/Blackout is dead though.

He responds to a question as to why people don't want to watch Blackout mode. It's Twitch numbers have been dropping a lot the past handful of weeks.

He just reiterated what I said about the game after I played the beta.

Maybe people just don't want to spend hours and hours every day watching someone else play video games? Gee, maybe you should go out and get a real job like the rest of us?

Youtubers are getting to be a real problem in gaming. Their opinion about games are in line with what is best for their clicks and ad revenue.

They've pushed this idea that a game is only good if it is good to watch others play. I strongly disagree with that assertion. There's lots of games I love that I would not spend much time watching others play.

There is one thing for sure, they are more people with those K&M convertors on console than what a lot thinks. You can clearly tell how a player moves and shoots.

I am just going to order that XIM like everyone else because they're such a disadvantage is almost a complete joke.

MS, Sony, and anybody else can say all they want, as long this device is out no one can stop it.

Doc is entertaining.

But he's not that good, and he whines a lot.

And not being a popular game on Twitch means the game is dead?
lol.

Sadly, this is what I'm seeing too. I'm pretty average at console shooters. There's a lot of people better than me, but there's usually a ceiling that isn't too far away from me. Lately though it just seems like there's this new level of players who are just pulling off moves that just would not be possible on controller. The Rainbow 6 Siege competitive scene on consoles is dominated by mouse + kb users. A lot of top players on console are actually switching to PC. They may as well be on a level playing field with everyone.

In games like PUBG and BO4 I run into this on Xbox. People just pull off snap shots that are amazing. I used to run into one once in awhile, now it seems to be a regular thing.

The other thing youtubers do to dominate is play with friends. The Destiny people do this but don't make it obvious that they are running with a group of people watching their back and helping them along the way. (I don't mean team BR games where they aren't hiding the fact that they are playing with a group). I see this in BF a lot. A guy just runs around "solo" wrecking in a way that just wouldn't be possible. They've got teammates helping them and they add in the audio after the video.

Haven't personally seen too much blatant kb+m users. Even in PUBG, where people constantly complained about them, I only saw a handful of people that were obviously using one.

Sometimes people are that good, and in a franchise that is this old you're gonna run into people with 10+years of experience who really are that good. Thankfully they're few and far in between.

There's good and then there's using a different control method good. A friend of mine has a son who gets accused of hacking all the time. He uses a standard Xbox controller, not even an elite. He is very quick. He was practically born with a controller in his hands. He was raised games like MW2.

He plays me and he destroys him. I've been on his team and watched him go. He's not making 180 spinning headshots through. He's really good, but within the limits of the controller good. I can't compete with him, but at least I'm in the same range.

There's times when people just insta-kill me the moment I peek a corner. I watch the kill cam, and they weren't aiming there. They were looking the other direction, turned and fired at a speed limited to a mouse. Maybe someone gets a lucky shot, it happens. I have a couple highlights of me doing it. However lately it is happening really consistently.

It is a known issue in the R6 Siege community too. That's the game where it is most obvious.

When we all know they are players are really good with a controller but you can clearly see people move that is not controller movement.

I see someone last night sniping people in mid air with less than half a sec to pull it off.

I've seen and played with people who do s*** like that, consistently. I've never been there, but played with enough people to not be quick to judge.

There are xim users, just highly doubt that any of us are constantly running into them.

Just my two cents though.

I like the game, but honestly the support Blackout gets is laughable. I'm kind of bored with it. Plus I'm sick of the armor repair and the lvl 3 armor.

Just wish they would buff the base health to 200 and have no armor. I might be ok with just level 1.

I know the armor repair was put in the game for aggressive players, and I'm one of them, but it just doesn't work IMO.

They should definitely just get rid of level 3 armor at least and maybe 2 as well. High level armor that can be repaired almost unlimited isn't very fun.

I've gone back to PUBG as this is fun but it ends up with every round being too much the same. There's really not a lot of alternate strategies other than get lvl 3 armor and a big gun.

They’re adding a respawn mode. Apparently if one of your teammates is still alive your squad can respawn after each new circle. Will give it a try.

I've given up on this until they do something with level 3 armor. I do well and make it to the end, but eventually just run into a walking tank and lose.

I am pretty good taking people out earlier, but once I run into level 3, forget it. If there's a counter to it, I don't know what it is.

It really forces you to drop on the high traffic areas from the start. You can't even circle back there later as everything gets looted fast.

The problem is the game rewards armor and weapons more than skill. I sneak up on people and totally get the drop on them and lose anyway. (hint: once you are geared up, stay away from buildings in the late game).

It's severely lacking variety and engagements simply don't last long enough for this type of game. Relatively speaking it just doesn't seem to be able to generate the stories.

Time will prove I'm right (again). Blackout will launch with a lot of fanfare and will fizzle out relatively soon after.

Blackout will be a big successful game, but I predict a quicker, sharper player drop off than we saw from PUBG and Fortnite.

If Treyarch doesn't fix this, Blackouts population will plummet mere months after release. They need to get players interacting more often.

I just think in this case, accessibility and longevity are working against each other.

This game is in more trouble than anyone would like to admit.

Only took 3.5 months to be proven right.

Please, call me Dr. Battle Royale now. I know this genre.

After playing so much, I think I am entitled to opinion!!. Level 3 armor, Cancel that s***. Concussion, Remove that s*** (Bring back normal 1 burst Flash grenades). Connection issues, FIX THEM.

Other than that I don't have many complaints.

Agree with all of this.

Every great multiplayer game grows after release. DotA 2, World of Warcraft, Counter Strike, Team Fortress, Rocket League etc...

Attract and retain.

If your player base drops 3 months after release, you've created a dud.

I'm like Neo. I see the matrix.
