Ok, I bought the game today, an extra controller for when I destroy the other one, and a case of beer. I am ready.

So your going to take a hard game and add a new sloshed difficulty to it. Nice!

Tried to play it before I left for work. Thought they may have jumped the gun. Nope!
I thought it would be playable. I tried 3 times. Then I clicked on the SEE IN STORE button and it said 8am :(

Bought it. I'm ready for the frustration.

Dont worry im uploading to YouTube right now.

Far as the game goes it might be the best $20 game out since Minecrat when it first came out on xbox 360.

Its really good and the presentation is by far the best. For some reason when I play this it reminds me of Metal Slug style game.

Agreed. I just played it for about an hour. Best $20 game ever!

The presentation is superb. It's obvious these guys spent plenty of time on Contra-style games, and if anyone is into those games at all, you're in for a treat.

It's very hard, but it's not what I call 'cheap' hard. It's 'fair' hard. You have to take your time and learn the level, how the enemies move, etc. It requires skill, especially because your shooting angles are restricted (up, down, L, R, and one 45 degree angle in between each), but it's not impossible.

You'll get frustrated, but if you take your time you'll see the little windows of opportunity. I compare it to Contra because it has the same feel, timing, etc.

I love the presentation and animation. It just ads to the whole package.

My only complaints are no online co-op, which the developer say they might do in the future, and there are some slightly annoying load times for certain levels.

Oh and you have to get pretty far in a level before getting to a save point (if there even is one..?), or you are going back to the beginning. Alllllll the way back.

But otherwise, if you like 2d side scrolling shooters, just buy it. Now.

I love this game's presentation and art direction. Very much like Max Fleischer's cartoons of the 30s and 40s. Although it's hard and you die a ton, you just keep going until you beat the level. No controller throwing moments yet.
