Man 2nd island is much tougher than the 1st. Only have been able to beat the clown and the platforming stage. This is going to take a bit.
It actuality opens up the bridges to other areas, but no contacts are given.
My gal encouraged me to try the simple mode last night. It's actually a good way to learn the basics of the bosses, and it's not exactly easy, just a cut version, which is missing some stuff. I've found it more rewarding to beat them on easy first, considering how many tries it takes on regular anyway.

I had a complete blast at the party - I particularly loved how the attendees were all fans of the game and Xbox (i.e., we weren't flown out there or paid to be there), but the real surprise to me was that many of the game's artists and devs were there as special guests! Of course it was fantastic to see Aaron Greenberg, Major Nelson, and Chris Charla representing Xbox there.
It was so incredible to chat with the people who worked so hard on this game, and to see how much love they poured into it. I was in awe of them.

Damn dragon! Not sure what pattern is happening when he gets behind me. Seems too random. Pyramid boss took me a damned hour and 1/2.
The dragon is straight RNG (Random Number Generator. Essentially, rolling the dice on the results of something.)
He is exactly that. Completely random when he gets behind you from what I can tell.
Make sure you have the shotgun. Only chance I had beating the fair ground guy and Baroness took ages before I worked out her pattern.
Charge shot has helped on some bosses. Also spread shot. Key is trying different gun combos on different bosses.
Getting close to beating 2nd island and I thought it was damned near impossible at first. It's as much a puzzle as a test of reflexes. In fact, I'd say it's more a puzzle than test of reflexes. Keep playing.
I think Cuphead will be one of those rare games that I go back and play again and again even after I beat it.

Yeah that was a bitch.
Best thing I found is to try and keep it to the far left and make sure you have the smoke bomb dash
I've done both run and guns and don't have enough coins for it..... I think. I'll check again.
