I like this game a lot also, started playing a bit a few weeks ago but some adventures are not well done, especially this awwful Well of Echoes one, jesus, what a pain in the ass solo...I just quit out of it after 30 minutes, thank god they are not all like that one.(you have to go through disruptors to have a few seconds to hit the target before it becomes immune again,ad nauseum.)

Regular adventures are easy, but heroic adventures have modifiers and are meant to be a major challenge.

You can solo them, but it is pretty much a long grind.

Ah ok,I have been picking them up without even checking since I started, maybe that one says Epic...did all those on Earth and so on so far, went well...so now my Warlock is level 20,thats the cap if I dont get the 2 expansions..?...I noticed a lot of places on Earth, that I cant go to right now but the main campaign is not done yet so I guess thats why...?

Certain areas will be locked out until you play certain campaign missions. Also certain areas are just locked to everyone no matter what level unless you are playing a specific mission. There shouldn't be anywhere on Earth you can't get without the DLC. I think those only add entire new zones that you just won't see.

If you see a black "hole" that looks like you can walk into it but it is actually solid, that's usually an area reserved for a mission or an adventure. If you trigger the mission, it will open up, otherwise you can't explore there.

20 is the level cap with 300 (305 with mods) being the power cap with the base game.

Ah ok cool thanks...just got my 3rd subclass with my Warlock and I think I have one last campaign mission on IO...then the grind starts though, since I dont like Crucible..what about the Raids and the like...?I havent seen any so far...

Oh ok,everything opened up after the campaign mission, now I see the Strikes, challenges etc etc...

So, what are peoples thoughts on Forsaken?

Personally, I think it actually sounds good.

-Power leveling is now as it should be and not limited weekly. Weekly..or Bi weekyly events simply offer larger gains.
- Random Rolls, finally.
-Mod system seems better...if not a bit generic.
-End-game sounds better...but will be wait and see if Dreaming City really is riddled with puzzles. They said the same thing about Destiny 2 and that turned out to be horses***.
-Weapon Slot changes are fianlly coming. Shotgun and snipers are now far more useful.
Toekns are gone...except from a few specific vendors.

Just seems like the game D2 should have launched as.

That Cayde quest has to be something that is going to activate later, like the Whisper quest. I'd be shocked if they just gave everyone a pointless ticket.

I've liked the PVE since Warmind came out. It has been a lot of fun. I am not a fan of PVP and they need to fix that badly. The boring, stand and team shoot meta needs to die. Hopefully Gambit is fun.

I worry the game is just going to get more grindy but no more fun. I'm not a fan of random rolls because most of the perks are crap. You have a couple perks that work and the rest are crap. There's no customization, there's just the best roll and the rest of the crappy ones. They need to increase weapon drops to account for this and they've never said this.

I am waiting to see on the leveling system. Milestones still exist, but supposedly they will be every 4 days. I don't think they've ever said how the soft cap is going to land. They've said very, very little on this which makes me think it is still going to be a time limited thing.

That said, I thought I was going to hate the grind in Warmind but that's actually been pretty fun so far. There's always stuff to do without it feeling like a full time job. Hopefully they keep that balance.

Sounds like the Cayde quest really is nothing. Bungie really is out of touch sometimes. After the Whisper quest was secretly added to the game, it shouldn't come as a surprise that everyone expected this to be something too.

Warmind is s***.

I find it odd that you praise Warmind for always having something to do but thdn s*** on random rolls. Random rolls always gives you something to chase...meaningful stuff too. None of the Warmind cosmetic grind crap.

Leveling works like it should now. No matter what you do you will progress. How much you progress depends on the difficulty of ghe activity. So say i'm 500 power and I help you in the 300 power strikes, I will still get rewarded something above my average power level, it will just be small...like a 501 helmet....but if I do 500 level strikes that power level drop will be more...and Milestones will offer the biggest power level gains.

As for drop quantity of gear, you get far more loot in D2 as it is right now. There is no reason why that would change.

The mistake with Warmind was making the soft cap so low. Basically an hour into the game you hit the soft cap just playing the campaign. That was beyond dumb. Even exotics not dropping higher level was dumb. I think they are changing that back.

Random rolls suck because the perks suck. If they offered some kind of actual variety, it would be fun.

The ideal - random rolls give us interesting options for weapons, where maybe the same gun with different rolls is used in a different way.

The reality - here's a spreadsheet with the good rolls, everything else is trash.

Do I want the perk that increases damage, or the perk that increases accuracy when crouched? Gee, let me think. There's outlaw for reloads and a few other good perks that do damage. That's it.

Instead of adding depth, it just adds crap rolls. They had better increase the drop rate and make every gun have the same chance of dropping.

I had not heard about the leveling change, but I'm not up on all the latest info. I know they said strikes would have levels, but that doesn't mean the drops will match. This is Bungie. They had 350 strikes that dropped only soft cap gear (until they fixed it). Milestones definitely still exist, they are just changing them a little. I hope we can just play and level

What perks suck? All perks have their place, just cause you don't use doesn't mean they suck. I'm just happy we no longer have to endure the abundunce of crappy rolled weapons Bungie make. Your perk example also shows your narrow view. Hkgher accuracy while crouched would be far better in some cases for an AR or even a full auto Scout rifle.

I just hope Dragon Fly and Explosive Payload get a big buff.

As for leveling, everything I previously said is 100% accurate and straight from Bungie.

I've learned never to get hyped about the story. I've liked the gameplay since Warmind but the story has been lacking.

I'm hoping they fix PVP. I was never a huge fan of D1 PVP but I played it some. D2 has just been terrible. Sitting in a group of 3-4 and insta-killing anyone who looks around the corner with the Grav Lance got old in a hurry. Every game even in quickplay is uber competitive which isn't really fun.

Gambit looks like fun too. I just hope it doesn't get ultra-hardcore like everything else.

The Story will be trash. Always has been in Dedstiny.

Gambit does look good. We get free 24 hour trial before Forsaken too.

PvP is just trash in D2 right now. So boring. While D1 was a balancing s*** show you could atleast have a little fun.

Well I played my ass off the last week and got the complete Solstice armour and blue neon shaders for my Hunter.
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt..... no literally I bought the t-shirt. I'm a nerd.
Here's a pic of the Hunter armour.

I so nice being able to use Snipers and Shotties again. Problem is, I have no idea what the good snipers are after a year of just scrapping them. Right now I am using Single Clap and trying to re-get Frigid Jackal...any suggestions on good primary/secondary snipers?

Those are the big ones. The only other decent ones are the Maestro46 (triple tap) or the elegy49 has dragonfly.

I have a few good snipers, but I trashed all my shotguns and don't have any good ones.

Show of Force has outlaw too. Not bad for pve. I've been playing around with fusions more. Shock and Awe with backup plan is so fun. Using a shotgun and a fusion in pve is a whole lot of fun.

Again I think the perks on the new stuff is going to be way better anyway so this stuff probably all gets dumped. I got a legendary Titan helmet which gives bonus energy on either super or shotty kills, plus has special ammo finder. I may as well just shard every other non-exotic helmet I have now.

This is coming out Tuesday, right?

So my question is, I have Destiny 2 on my Xbox. I have not bought a single DLC. If I buy this new release, does this include everything that I have missed?
