You'd think, but it is amazing how many people bank 4 motes, or run around with the announcer telling them that they have enough to summon the boss.

I like the mode, I think it is simple enough to pick up, but will have some strategy too. Timing is huge so when to use your super, how to balance your team, should be fun.

I'm thinking you have two rushers up close, with two sitting back with scouts keeping an eye on the back. I can see a lot of ways to do it.

I like that it brings reloading perks and such into things. You want a fast time to kill, but in a different way from PVP. You can't have a slow reloading gun.

I was running Arcturus Rig on my Titan with two Auto Rifles (Suros seems great again) and it was a blast.

More fun than PVP which neither of us seem to like at all. If we both agree totally, it must be really bad! :)

I don't think there ios much strategy at all. The mode is too simple. All you really need is one decent PvPer...that person is the biggest difference maker.

I haven't tried Crucible sdince the weapon slot changes. I imagine the whole sit on a corner team shooting crap is gone thanks to the shotties change.

I'm thinking there will be more cat and mouse to it. I find saving my super for invading or defending against invaders is huge. Plus now the invader is 600 which won't be as big an advantage once we all start leveling. Without being able to level 1 invader can wreck.

I haven't tried PVP either. Too early to see where the meta lands obviously. Once we start getting new gear it is going to be totally different. Useful armor perks now plus random rolls are going to be a lot different. Supposedly other guns got buffed to make the Lance not as useful now.

I'm hoping Gambit "counts" as PVP drop wise. I was getting crucible armor drops from it.

man i went back to this, eventhough i dont have any DLC, to check out what they changed and the gun play is still top class

i just wish game surrounding it was better

Agree. I just picked up the two previous DLC's for 20 bucks and I'm having a ton of fun with the game again.

Other way around, people that excel at PVE, like efficiently clearing adds and meltin bosses quick are the difference maker. You could screw a team over by healing their primeval but if your squad doesn't have the DPS to match the enemy's then you're screwed.

Short clip I made on Saturday

DIsagree. KIlling the adds and primevil is easy peasy. Dps output isn't a huge factor--as long as people keep heavy ammo for it.

A good PvP er completly changes a game. You can be miles behind and the PvPer will win you the match. This mode is all about the PvPer.

Great video to get caught up on the lore before Forsaken.

Finished Osrisis this weekend started and almost done with Warmind. I am ready!

How the hell did you get a bow so fast?

The first mission was really good.

So they added achievements. Why couldn't they have been real Xbox official achievements?

They did. Don't know how many but I got one for having a 5000 triumph score.
I guess I mean from the start of the game. The achievements in the standard Destiny 2 suck. But now they add these new ones, which I wish were included in the Standard. Oh well.

BTW, I have no idea what I am supposed to do with all my inventory that I have gained. I have no idea what to do with anything I have earned besides changing weapons to make character a higher number. I am at 313 now. I know what the color swatches are for. But all these other items I have earned, I have no idea how to use it. Is there crafting in the game or something?

There is a little crafting. Infusion and upgrading a weapon to a masterwork but those are more expensive now and you're going to keep getting higher leveled gear easy to about ~550 so i would just keep playing just and use the higher level weapons and armor as you get them.

So just ignore my inventory? I have like tons of inventory. I keep seeing engrams, and I click on them, but I have no idea what they do. My inventory says I have none, but when I visit people, they show up when they give me things and I click on them and I have no idea where they went or what they do.

So pretty much ignore inventory and just kill people and upgrade my stuff on my character when I am given the stuff so that I increase my level?

There are so many currencies it depends on what your referring to. Some can be redeemed at tower vendors for engrams some with the planetary vendors. Some stuff like the old mods can be dismantled for modern parts. The light feathers only show as progress on the left pane in the director. It can be really confusing.

Explore all the vendors you'll get bounties from some as well. But for the most part yes just keep killing and getting higher level gear.

Just store everything for now. The light cap is 600, so don't bother infusing anything early on. You'll just burn through materials. I'm not sure where the soft cap is (if there is one), so just wait until we hit a level plateau.

Early on we'll level up way too fast to bother infusing. Just store everything and equip whatever you find along the way. You only need to worry about perks and such later on.

You don't have to worry about me infusing since I don't know what it is :)

Say you have a legendary helmet that is 380, then you get a blue (rare) that is 390. The legendary is the piece that is "better" so you infuse the blue into the legendary and then your legendary helmet is 390 then. Long term once we hit higher levels that's what we'll do to optimize our gear for PVE and PVP. For now though just keep what you like and try to keep your power level growing.

Long term you will keep your legendary stuff and destroy the blue/rare as it has better perks. Short term though it really doesn't matter much.

Also if you get 2 blues that are for the same piece (helmet, primary gun, etc), dismantle the lower level stuff and just keep one copy of the higher one.

Yeah I guess the soft cap is 500, so don't bother infusing until then. Also it seems that infusing now costs masterwork cores, which really sucks. Infusion is going to be really expensive now.

I think its higher than 500. I got an armor that is 503 and I'm level 34 but I can't use it till level 43.

I watched some vids on how to infuse. I will try one infuse so that I get a better understanding. I also watched a video with the infuse changes to Forsaken. And yeah, I see people are finding that it is more of a grind to infuse, requiring more glimmer and more materials from different planets.

Was their thought process in this to use microtransactions to encourage people that don't want to grind to just buy the materials? I noticed I keep getting prompted to buy Silver with real money. Is silver used to buy all these materials?
