DirectX 12 Coming to Xbox One thread, v. 2

some are.. most are not.

The posts made about the X1's GPU tend to be on the very, very negative side and we know why... but to be fair, there is just as much positive unknown as there is negative unknown
I think a lot of us feel both consoles are underpowered to be frank.

That makes me Noivus, Nervus. Fable games are always disappointing, yet I find myself, playing each and every one with a kind of horrid fascination, gritting my teeth at the chessy dialogue, and wincing when yet another traditional RPG element is mangled beyond recognition. It's an addiction, and I just can't shake it.
Same here Chief!! I'm insanely excited about Fable Legends, but I am also a tadbit frightened.

It would be cool if you guys would just believe what you see and judge based on history. But all this skepticism....it's just gone over board now.

lol, or you're just hyping the hell out of DX12 right now with no substantial proof. You can have optimism but just don't state it as if we are seeing the significant improvements right now. No present footage of DX12 games on Xbox One. That could change with E3 but right now, nothing.

When we do see the footage and we do see substantial improvements, you can celebrate, okay?

well to be honest I think this Fable will be different because you can see they have almost a whole new crew at Lionshead Studios. I think this is going to be a true RPG game that will shock alot of people.

I think it will take this game differently then the others.
I like the idea of having a villain that kinda steps into the role of a "Dungeon Master"...

It's really no surprise that a discussion about DX12 helping XB1 perform better turns into a VS thread mainly because the whole reason we are discussing it is because MS needs to show parity with PS4. I can't believe this thread is still open. I strongly believe MS knows that most of the gaming community is sitting back saying prove it. They're not scared and in time they will show their hand and maybe a few cards up the proverbial sleeve as well.

You got me ALLLLL THE WAY f***ed up. I'll think what I want to think and never asked for permission from anyone, least of all you. No offense but have some kids or own a business if you want someone to take you seriously. So....there's that.

Now, no one is hyping anything. Hell, we dont have to. But I know and you know that if this was something coming to that other console, we wouldnt be hearing anything about this "wait and see" crap or even near as much skepticism. We wouldnt even be having this discussion. It would just be accepted as fact and anyone that spoke against it, we're simply being "over hyped". Seriously. And then you act as if once the results are shown and they are significant improvements, that no one will make comparisons, or they wont be shot down, or called BS. I'll make you this promise right now: when E3 is upon us and Microsoft does show DX12 in full bloom, you and many others will state something in the realm of, "well, I'll believe it when I see it on my own console. But for right now, I'll remain skeptical." Or, somehow none of it will be possible because you cant upgrade hardware through software, or that DX12 will be great for PC's, but the X1 wont see those type of improvements. You so called "skeptics" are comedy.

There has been so much revealed and announcements from official developers on DX 12, Cloud and Tiled Resources, and people are STILL skeptical or think they know more than the devs themselves. Those of you who are waiting for Microsoft to prove something, are the same ones drooling at the mouth to shoot it down or claim how it ant be done because the GPU is too weak, or its all BS. However, it wont stop any of you. Not even when you see it for yourselves (as we've already have....many times.)

And dont worry... I'll be there to remind you of this when the time comes.

Come to think of it, where's Ketto these days?:D

Oh, can port games in weeks, but the Forza 5 presentation needed a Titan Black GPU, hardly a rig worthy of showing efficiency.

Dude, the Xbox One is a freaking beast! It can run a game that "needs" a Titan Black GPU. So much for inferior hardware!

:p

Feel free to jump to more conclusions, Mcmasters. Way to relate having kids or owning a business in order to have respect, lol.

How about you get the console before doing shooting down everyone else's opinion because noone's going to take your posts seriously. You're just portraying someone who's a big fan of MS now, but not a gamer who's going to take advantage of these improvements anytime soon.

When we see actual DX 12 improvements, we'll acknowledge it. Until then, everything is speculation. Sure, you can have high hopes, nothing wrong with that. You can also have not as high hopes, nothing wrong with that either. You just don't know how to respect the opinions of others who don't have the same opinion as you. Most of the reveals and announcements have been about how DX12 will benefit PC the most. There isn't nearly as much info about the Xbox One and DX12 than the PC. Again, like I asked in the other thread, a better representation of how DX12 could benefit Xbox One would be them showing Dead Rising 3 or something using DX12 features showing a more stable framerate and higher resolution. Showing Forza 5 on a PC with DX12 features shows more benefit for the PC than the other way around. Also, 1080p / 60 already on the Xbox One so obviously it would be common sense to believe that a PC with a GTX Titan would be able to handle Forza 5 at 1080p/60 with ease, regardless of DX12 or not.

I find it funny how you call xbox fanboys PS4 fanboys just cause they do not cream their pants like you do.

If all they show at E3 is PC specific stuff then it is still a wait and see. They need to show real world usage of it on the xbox platform. Until then, it is very much a wait & see situation.
