Wandered into an area I don't think I was ready for at all lol but I beat a Minotaur with my mage by standing on the cliff above him and spamming lightning on him through all 5 of his health bars, as long as I stayed in the spot I was in he never tried to run around the long way and get up to where I was lol.

The only time I thought of microtransactions is when it's mentioned on the internet. Never looked or clicked anything in the game. It's almost non-existent. I load the game and open my save.

I agree, the perception of mtx in this game seems to be met with harsher expectations.

I see the merit in both sides arguments but I think because this launched after ff7 rebirth and Baldur's Gate 3 which both are huge rpg games with no mtx's at all which is why DD2 is getting this amount of attention now even though Capcom has always been doing this in the past. It definitely is a slippery slope for accepting these kinds of practices which may or may not lead to others doing the same.

You are half correct. If MTXs are just superficial stuff like hairstyle or extra costume for sure. but many games are design to slow you down or make you feel like a 2nd class citizen if you do not buy the mtxs. The games design with MTX in mind.

like Extra stash space, fast travel items, faster mounts, rare materials for crafting.

Also Cohh is also a bit of hyprocrte. He has accepted at least once a wait for it 500bucks MTX (thats ONE MTX) from one of this supporters, & he did not complained. The same game had lootboxes. He never made a sound. But when comes to popuar AAA studios, he complained a lot. Double standard.

What level are you guys on? I haven't gotten as much time with it as I've wanted because of work but I'm at level 25 with my mage and sorcerer almost maxed and trying out the mystic spearhand vocation now. I like it but I may end up going back to sorcerer after I upgrade it a bit more.

I met someone. She's got a heck of a rating ;)

I'm guessing nobody here even knows who that is. Besides, it doesn't even look like her which is disappointing.

Around 18 or 19. I've been holding off playing a lot waiting around for the Xbox patch. I don't really even notice any difference turning off the motion blur. The other 2 settings I left alone for now. I'm trying to get to the 3rd part of the quest which will allow me to unlock the mystic spearhand vocation afterward. I'm getting bored with the archer already.

Really enjoying the game but I liked Dark Arisen so I knew I would. Yeah it may be a mess technically, I haven't seen any performance issues during exploration and battles just some stuff in the cities but so far it hasn't been as bad as I thought it'd be. Could it have used more time having the technical kinks worked out? sure but what game couldn't have used another year of development these days?

The only real issues I have with the game is the terrible framerate in the large town and sometimes (usually in that large town) where the audio starts having some weird static echoing. It usually stops by leaving the game and going to the Xbox home screen for a few seconds.

I finally found that mystic spearhand guy last night after 3 more trips between towns trying to find him. I haven't tried it yet because...I guess I have to travel back to another town. I wish there was an easier/cheaper way to fast travel for sure.

ox cart?

Got to level 30 today, went back to sorcerer but I'm still figuring which spells I like the best. I want to get maelstrom (tornado) but you have to earn that one through specific missions, I guess. I loved that spell in the first DD.

I think I'm 45 now. I went completely around the map, mostly because there was a quest. Probably spent 15 levels down there. I have a Pawn with that tornado spell. Super nice, except the bodies are flung...so little chance to see what's on them. :)

70% of the time it gets attacked along the way for me. Same with making a tent. I still don't know how to get the cart to take me exactly where I want to go if it's not a quest that I'm currently doing.

Ox carts will go to one direction and back.
For example, Vernworth has 2 ox cart "stops". One ox cart will take you to Melve and back. The other will take you to Checkpoint Rest Town and back.

You don't control their destination.

I've only had 1, on occasion maybe 2 fights while on an ox cart. Most weren't anything to write home about. Some goblins.

I've only had 1 encounter while camping. I usually clear out the are before making camp.

I was on one that got attacked yesterday and my pawn destroyed it with one of his abilities lol he did a big uppercut kind of move with a sword and shattered it so we were on foot at night lol.
