You excellent gentlemen are making me want to buy this! Please post a plethora of impressions and your thoughts!!!

Played about 10h, first few alone as it doesn't support co-op for a fair bit in the beginning. No bugs or glitches except one short scene where the lips didn't move in dialogue.
I don't know if it's just me, but the game is unplayable in res and quality mode... It's like there's input lag galore and it made me feel motion sick within seconds. I usually opt for 30fps and higher res (performance is 1080p and blurry af) in most games but here it's completely unplayable for me... Wtf?

Otherwise, great game and better than the first in every way imo.
Great soundtrack too!
This is my dream game tbh; a post apocalyptic, open world zombie game.... with parkour, lol

Is anyone else not getting sound effects when enemies collide with the environmental spike traps?

Agree about the game mode, I can usually handle 30fps fine, not with this game.

The most annoying bug so far and I think I remember it was in the original is like a spinning spear sticking out NPC bodies, happens more often then I'd like, apart from that I'm loving the game even more then my initial impressions, just got to the main city and it's huge.

This is a really fun game. There's a few rough edges but overall I'm having a good time. I'm a big fan of the movement system, its so smooth and fast and I'm still a low rank without a lot of skills. One of the best aspects of this game is the day/night cycle. In this game night actually makes a difference as the level of danger ramps up and not just from the undead. There's a cool survival mechanic where you have to monitor your level of immunity that constantly ticks down at night since you and everyone else are infected. So you only have a limited amount of time during the night before you have to seek out a UV safe zone or pop a consumable to "Stay Human", lol.

I'm not a big fan of FPS melee combat. But I'm getting the hang of it and I think once I get more skills it'll get better. I also like the tension of exploration at night, sneaking through an electronics store gathering loot in the midst of sleeping zombies is fun as hell. One mistake and you'll have to run your ass off and that's where things get even more fun. The Chases are a nice touch.

Overall a fun game. I've had a few times where my character got hungup on something in the environment and I couldn't move and lost some audio during cutscenes which is no big deal since voice acting in this game is about as engaging as a box of rocks. The gameplay is where this game shines, not in its story.

Is this pretty much like the first one? Friends and I still need to finish it , not sure how far we are in but we only played like a few hours.

Sucks they made grapple useless now, used to be able to throw people off buildings now it's just a canned animation of throwing someone 2 feet away, at least drop kicks are even better this time around.

It's very similar to the first one, night isn't as ruthless, get some choices in the story, crafting etc is a little different but the essence of the game is the same with a more refined parkour and combat system but rough round the edges with a few bugs.

You just convince me NOT to get the game. Not fan of these survival thingy.

It's nothing, I hate survival games. You basically just shoot a vaccine shot and you prolonge it, you can stash dozens of shots. It never becomes an annoyance imo.
Thanks. I was looking at twitch steam & the game looks good. I have a few games to play first, After that I may dive in this game.

I'm enjoying it, on PS5.

I hate how it takes me a while to finally get into a groove in open world games.

Yeah, I feel the same way, but in DL2 it really isn’t a problem. It only ticks down when you’re in the dark, so if you’re in the daylight or in UV light it’s a zero factor. When in the dark you can have enough boosters, mushrooms, and UV areas so it really isn't a problem. It's something to think about, but as long as you prep you should be good.

I was watching this on Twitch.tv just now. Looks like a freakin' 360/PS3 game. Gross. Game play must make up for it.

Yeah it looks a little rough on performance mode only 1080p, getting more used to resolution mode now it'l doesn't feel as bad as quality mode and looks pretty decent too.

This is the one I was watching. It has A prompts, so it's either Xbox or PC. It's ewe.

I did have to click on the option "HDR Always On" for the PS5 version which helps. This game won't win any beauty contests on consoles, haha.
