EA at E3 2017

I thought the presentation and filler sucked however there were a few interesting notes. If they showed more of Anthem and the new Madden engine, I think the show would've been decent. Rumors that single player for BF2 will be at Sony's show. EA might have a stronger E3 once all their stuff is shown at the other shows even if their conference is cheesy and boring.

I think Way Out looked good. Give them credit for pushing something new.

I still don't own Battlefield. Have played a few hours on EA Access and have yet to get a kill on foot. Ironically their BF1 presentation made me want to try the game again.

EA is like the appetiser to E3 and what a crappy appetiser that was. Some good content ruined by lots of talking, youtubers and genuine scripted and awkward moments. Keep it snappy, concise and trim the fat EA.

They need to find a way to make the games different rather than just year after year roster updates.

Well I'm not opposed to new features like that. But not if the game still animates like you're controlling puppets.

I'd rather they improve the animation and physics over a story line you might play through once.

They almost always say they improved the animations and physics etc. I am wondering if it's just something that's going to be too hard to do in sports games considering all the different angles and physics changes that happen so quickly. They can always make them better but I don't know that we'll ever get something that we think looks real in motion regardless of how detailed the models look.

That youtube guy that introduced Need for Speed was horrible, legit stuttering over his own words.

Well in EA's sports games, it's very specific animations that have been present and awkward for years.

It's like they keep putting new paint on a house that needs a complete rebuild.

They have their own brand of awkward movement yes but I have yet to see a sports game that really looks totally natural in motion. I think it does look better than it used to but there are still plenty of times where weight shifts don't look totally natural etc.

The Way Out got "most mentions on social media," which is some kind of prize nowadays, I guess.

I won't be buying, but I hope they succeed with it. It's going to be a tough sell, as co-op only. Sounds like an interesting addition to the co-op catalog.

Yeah that looked awesome. I'll probably get it and force a friend to play it with me. Lol

True. Nothing is completely natural. But 2k and hell even their own Fifa series do it way more realistically.

The old 2K NFL games had stiff animation too but I'm guessing you are talking Basketball which does look better. I do think it has something to do with taking hits, I would guess an NFL game uses a lot more animations anyway simply because you have so many player models doing different things and getting hit from different angles etc. I agree it would be nice to see their stuff improve but hey at least they have better animations than a Bioware game lol.

Yeah I like that they are bringing that back a bit or at least making the effort, I know a lot of people who miss couch co-op like we had back before everything became online. I won't be buying it but I do appreciate them doing something a little outside the box.

The new Fifa looks amazing. Not sure what happened with NBA Live? I have high hopes for Madden on Frostbite.

C as just a glimpse of Anthem got me excited

I just hope Bioware is showing something that's truly representative of the game when the trailer is shown, ME:A got a big downgrade from when the first footage was shown to the actual release.

EA Play was a complete bust for me. Went there during my registered time and was turned away due to capacity issues. Ended up going to Starbucks and having a blast chatting about video games with friends. Avoided overly loud bad music and long lines - thanks for doing me a favor, EA!

Caughta recap ofthe show and meh. Was pretty poor all round. Another FIFA "gameplay" trailer that isn't. even remotely representative of gameplay...Oh and Journey 2, meh. Another iteration of a comicly bad written, boring story campaign.

The most interesting thing they had turned out to be an announcement of an announcement that Anthem will have a gameplay reveal at MS presser. On the plus side, we now know MS has atleast one interesting gameto show.

Oh! and what happened to the Burnout devs extreme sport/racer thing they showed last yeaer? Hopefully it got canned so they can make Burnout adain...I know, wishful thinking, cause EA would make them make another s***ty Need For Speed game.

Yeah that racer got canned

If anyone is going to play a prison game with Belly, you may want to avoid the shower areas in game.
Pfft. If it were an accurate recreation of how I'd behave in a prison, the gameplay would closer resemble Alien: Isolation.

Nowhere is safe. You'll never see me coming... At least, not until it's too late. :p

not a fan of there work but am interested in Anthem
Hard to tell what it is. Is it an action game like Darksiders or is it a full on RPG or is it mixture like Fable? The trailer didn't help and Bioware just call it an action IP.

I want to see actual show floor game play of Madden today.

Do I see cheerleaders finally in the game along the right side of the sidelines?
