EA's CFO: Titanfall 2 probably going to be multiplatform

Just bought this for $12.50 including DLC so not bad. I've mostly been doing Frontier Defense which has been pretty fun.

I played that mode for the first time today, and then played it for hours. It is a fun mode. Hope they expand on it with TF2.

I think my Apple PowerBook from 1990 could run that brain dead AI.
I imagine your 90s PowerBook could synchronize all those AI bots across a dozen internet connections as well.

Titanfall uses dedicated servers so if you don't like MS's cloud then I guess you have two equally crap options; go peer to peer or use those fantastic dedicated EA servers. Since your a retro 90s fan the p2p thing would be best for you. Get planning that Titanfall 2 LAN party!

Not even close.

"Always MS exclusive at launch, great partner and focus is good for a startup. EA made a deal for the rest, we only found out recently." - Vince Zampella
Incoherent and non contextual statement proves your first bit of fiction, how? I don't "hear" the unhappiness.

Yes because EA and Microsoft are the only cloud providers on the face of the earth lol.

Yeah cause Titanfall running on the cloud didn't have network issues and slow match making

Never said they where the only two in the world. I said,
EA publishes the game so if they don't use MS servers then it will be EAs.

Of course Titanfall 2 is going to be multiplatform. It was a mistake making it exclusive. Especially since the PS4 is the lead platform this gen.

I'm glad it's going multi-platform. One, it's good more people can enjoy it. (I liked TitanFall more than any Call of Duty the last two years) Two, I think Microsoft would be stupid to spend how much they'd have to for it to be exclusive again, most people agree that TitanFall was a decent first effort, but it really didn't catch on, it's not like it's a "must-have" to be only in Microsoft's library. Smart decision by Microsoft.

I guess somebody doesn't understand sarcasm. And I never said I don't like TEH CLOUD.

My point is that Titanfall's AI is absolutely terrible and that it's not a very good showcase of what MS' 'cloud' is capable of.

titanfall is a fast paced blast of intense combat and haters gotta hate. Nothing better then raining down destruction before ripping the pilot out and punting him/her off the map.

I still play TF, it is the most fun with a mp shooter I have had in years. I always play Hard point, I should try some of the others. I don't even use the Tiran, I prefer to have it follow or guard

Honestly, I think it is a perfect example of what the cloud is about. Lets not confuse intentional design with cloud capability. The A.I is intentionally dumb, it is not supposed to have a huge impact on the outcome of victory. It is used more as an atmospheric tool. Something used to project a greater sense of war.

This is it exactly. The difference between the context of what the AI are there for in the game and concept of how the AI are managed and delivered into the game seems to really to confuse lots of people.

The A.I. mimics COD players amazingly well.

If it comes on the PS4, I assume they will be using EA Servers for that, and not Azure.

EA Servers?
