Embargo has been lifted. Xbox One game reviews abound!

It's not reviewers. It's devs using built in background streaming to do optimization patches (smoother fps, more pixels...on both consoles), which is fine but devs should take care to be sure reviewers have all patches prior to doing a review. That should be on devs to get them that content.

Publishers are usually pretty solid when it comes to information regarding game-improving patches. It makes the whole framerate situation a bit dubious. Only Digital Foundry can save us!

Usually the information about things that's going to be patched - and how stuff is beeing patched - dosn't completely match up.

Some reviewers, base their score upon what they experience, and mentions in the review that the publisher said they'd adress the potential issues later.
And then change their score and review afterwards (patch the review) if they feel the fix fixed the issues they had lateron after it were fixed.
That's the best way (for us consumers) to do it, I feel. :)

Alot of times we see huge issues beeing ignored in reviews - based upon stuff developers said they'd fix, i.e. the aiming on PC Alpha Protocol, and the last Alien game - and then those games still had huge issues later-on.

Sorry for the quick distraction, but does anyone know if the XB1 games will be available Tuesday, like all the PS4 titles were?

I don't think all are. I looked at a best buy ad earlier and it said Forza, Ryse and DR3 were releasing Friday.

I must say MS is simply killing it with the marketing lately. All I see on TV lately is a ton of xbox one ads. Much more than sony did last week before launch.

Man I really wish this launch had a Rare FPS/kameo 2. Ryse holding out till Thursday is concerning.

I have little tears of crimson dragons
Arcadey on rails shooters are rarely appreciated on consoles; the visceral thrill of pumping just one more token into the slot to play just one more level is lacking. Panzer Dragoon Orta on the original Xbox was similarly unloved.:(

You my friend just talked me into buying this mothu f***a......i mean....$20 isn't much to at least have some Sega saturn memories.

Where're the Assassins Creed reviews ?

If you don't have it yet, I highly reccomend it.

- I were abit down on the franchise due to franchise-fatigue, but after I saw Giant Bomb quickplay I decided to buy it.
- I think either this AC is my favourite in the franchise- or perhaps the second one many years ago.
Abit slow start with too many stealth-follow/listen missions - and not that open - but after two three hours, when you start unlocking more stuff and it opens up, it shines as a pretty amazing sandbox game. :)

If you just want a next-gen upgrade and wonders if it's worth the extra dollars, I can't help you. :p

Not much here for me to get stuck in to. Other than dead rising I have no intention of getting anything else reviewed thus far.

Dead rising 3 seems exactly as you would expect. Not a graphical stunner, darker, less humor, and lame corny story. This IMO isn't really anything new. Other than the tone( darker, less humor) other DR games were of similar design, and like previous games DR3 seems to be the zombie killing frenzy most likely buy the series for. Still a buy in my book.

When do Embargos lift on Ryse and Forza ? and big 3rd party games like BF4?

Good man. I managed to get the Walmart clerk to sell it to me a day before they were suppose to. Ah, but what a silver-tongued devil was I in my gaming prime!:D

If you can find the original Disk version of Panzer Dragoon Orta, there's a port of the original Panzer Dragoon on it as well. Good times, when it was just you, your console, a great game and a bag of Doritos and a two liter Mountain Dew.

These reviews got me excited for all these downloadable games like KI, Crimson Dragon, Powerstar Golf and Zoo Tycoon. Instead of another full retail game I might just go with Forza, COD and these cheaper downloads.

It's the only way to do it. You can't review something based on potential updates and future promises.

I thought DR3 would be 7-8ish purely due to the under next gen graphics and rare frame rate issues.

Still buying I think it'll be hella fun!

Yeah. Saw my first Xbox One TV spot last night.

Sega seems totally incapable for making good games these days in-house. Best thing to do, is to have their fanchise outsource to capable studios to inject more life/creativity.

Name like Golden axe, Shinobi, & Sonic, to name a few.

Not sure if posted Gametrailers review of DR3 gets 8.0

http://www.gametrailers.com/reviews/syp1r3/dead-rising-3-review

Technically, Dead Rising 3’s most impressive feature is the sheer number of zombies onscreen at the same time. The zombies are so numerous that even if you’re traveling at full speed in a vehicle, running into a horde will slow you down to almost a complete stop. Such a large amount of zombies makes Dead Rising 3 feel more claustrophobic than previous Dead Rising games, despite the world being considerably larger. The high number of enemies comes at a cost with a frame rate that chugs during the game’s most intense moments.

None of Dead Rising 3’s issues will stop you from enjoying the ludicrous ways you can kill zombies. While it may initially appear to be a more somber game than before, after spending a few hours with Dead Rising 3 you’ll realize the spirit of the series is well intact. The game is built for moments like when you dress up in a disco shirt, Blanka mask, and Mexican wrestling boots and then bash away with an electrified sledgehammer. It may be another game with zombies in it, but few games get as crazy as Dead Rising 3.

I am really glad that DR3 is doing quite well in the reviews. The majority is positive and i think if it sells good enough too, that we might see a DR4 on Xbox One too.
