I've tried playing each of the three Crysis titles and was bored out of my mind after the first level.
WTF I had no idea it was only $20 for that game.

I thought Crysis one was fun. Open world with all those powers made you feel like a badass.
But they never really advanced the formula from there.

I like the Crysis games, as well as the original Far Cry.
They don't have epic stories, or even amazing interior levels.. just super solid gameplay and really cool "options" for how to beat things... snipe.. go all out.. grab a boat.. grab a jeep with a mounted gun, etc.
I understand the "hold my hand and tell me a story" gamers get bored easily with games like that..
I'm not excited for Ryse because it is CryTek doing "flashy" in a different way.. it's like Flash without the complex gameplay / physics simulation.

Talking about game wise obviously. I dunno what ps4 console reviews looked like nor do I care.
Bummer for Ryse but with so many reviews making the same complaints, i will wait for a price drop and instead get Black Flag or something else.
To be fair, neither console got glowing reviews for the majority of their games. Sure there's some standouts (Forza, Resogun), but overall the scores are pretty low. That's expected though. If you wanted to get down to the nitty gritty, MAYBE X1 has a higher average if you add up every game, but I don't even think it's worth doing the work required to figure that out.
Let's just enjoy our systems!

Basically, what I was trying to say. Xb1 launch games did not score higher than ps4 games. I only make the observation because a lot of people have been taking shots at ps4 launch game review scores.
