I think one of them has an advantage for sure, now granted that would not have happen if nearly every fvcking ps4 retail thus far wouldn't have fallen short. KZ, DC, and The Order looked INCREDBILE in theory, and none of them scored above 75. Infamous SS barely made it.
I believe PS4's best rated exclusive is their baseball game The Show. lol. A baseball game rated at 83. Don't get me wrong, I had The Show 06 or 07 on PS2 (I always forget which one it was) and it is easily the best video/computer baseball series I've played ever, but gimme a break. A baseball game is the best rated retail exclusive.
That would be like going back in time and changing history where the best Xbox OG exclusive game release was NHL Rivals at 83 while every other MS exclusive scored lower than that. Like baseball, most people don't care about hockey either as sports are very regionally based aside from FIFA which has the most global interest as a whole.
Now Bloodbourne.... that could be a different monster altogether. I'm thinking it will be the first true ps4 retail game worth having.
Given how the game looks and From Software's track record, Bloodborne should be a good game. Likely 85+ on metacritic. Although who knows. I predicted 1886 would get an avg score of 72 and it ended up getting 65.
But just watch.
As soon as Bloodborne gets good scores (very likely), all the Sony fans will come out saying "where's all the good X1 games this year?"
All the while for the past year and a half (since launch), despite all the hype KF, 1886, DC and Infamous got (I won't even bother putting Knack or LBP3 in the same boat), the interest in the games deflate the second the reviews start pouring in showing mediocre quality.
But solid A+ for Sony's marketing and PR department!
Whomever's idea it was to parade Mark Cerny around in 2013 hyping PS4 and Knack should get a promotion. An equally good strategy was getting him out of the spotlight the second Knack reviews came in. lol
