Opening this up again, since we're approaching E3 and the lineups may change somewhat.

Xbox One line up > PlayStation 4 line up

I don't know about that.

Some posters around the internet think Tearaway and Persona 5 will beat TR, Halo 5, F6, Fable Legends.....

..... lol

Can't wait for a certain poster to post a long list of games I've never heard of or are on PC/PS3

What will be interesting where his cut off point is.

Does he include or exclude Wander? lol. In my opinion it should be part of the list.

Poor Wii U

Looking forward to the X1 finally getting some games. Mine is getting dusty.
Nintendo consoles are dead going forward.

Even if the released a superior powered system with better everything than MS/Sony, I don't think gamers would gravitate to it. Nintendo's image and lack of third party games prevents them from being anything but first party family style games.

A shame.

Back in the old gens, they had good first party games and just as many third party games as the other guys. They actually had more. But things changed a lot around the the N64 era and onward.

Are we talking about sales, or are we talking about personal preference here? Because personally, I prefer the more interesting indie titles like Rime, Everybody Gone to Rapture and Tomorrow Children over everything else you mentioned. And yes those 3 are indie games, so what?

It's all a matter of personal preference.

Btw, guys, just because it's a "vs" thread doesn't mean trolling is okay. It's still against the rules. I'll close the thread if we just go down that road again. Let's try to be adults about this.

Maybe to you and the other "gamers" who only play Call of Duty and sports games. No offense man. But you don't even play games, lol. 3-4 games maybe, and the rest of the time you're watching TV or Netflix. Cablebox One ftw! Sorry Andy, just let me get that in there please.

Sales, image, whatever. Who gives a sh!t? Nintendo makes fun games and people still buy them. That's all that matters in the end. I don't see why people have to bash the consoles they don't even play. It's not a hard concept. Don't like it? Don't pay any attention to it. There's millions of gamers that disagree with us, no matter what our opinions and preference are.

If they made better systems, they'd have a lot more games like the old days. Many third partues don't makes for Wii/Wii U and the times they do get a port, it's usually lousy.

Instead, Sony comes around in the mid-90s and MS comes out with a console in 2001 and have taken over console gaming.

Yeah, well it's hard to be the King for over a decade. Sony had to fall down and learn their lesson. Microsoft hasn't come close to having a run like Nintendo and Sony have. Lebron didn't win MVP this year and he proved last night why he should have. People get tired of the same thing, no matter what it is.

Even if Nintendo released hardware that could compete it would still be a tough market. It's smart of them to do whatever they need to do to survive. As long as they're not losing boatloads of money on the hardware like Microsoft and Sony have at times, they'll be fine. Not to mention Microsoft and Sony just have deeper pockets to begin with. They can take more chances.

Bloodborne will likely get goty unlike the above mentioned XBO exclusives.
Anybody wanna bet that no exclusive on XBO outscores BB in 2015?

TR will be better on the other platforms after the exclusive window runs out.
Fable Legends is F2P and have you played it?
If not play it before putting it in your list.

Your PS4 list is naked missing some gems.

I would like to try to play some Wii U games. Not sure how that tablet controller works though.

Probably. But it's only one game.

lol. I didn't know you've already played TR.

Oh yeah I forgot. PS4 also has The Order 1886 and Wander. But I wouldn't call them gems.

Future could be real bright for Nintendo's next console if.......

+It released in 2016/17
+Had as good if not better specs then the PS4 (that were more developer friendly then the Wii U)
+Priced similar to the current gen consoles
+Launched with Zelda(very possible)
+ Offered a comparable online system

It surely would sell like hot cakes

No it won't.

GC released for only $199, which was cheaper than PS2/Xbox, had better/equal specs than PS2/Xbox, and had an innovative controller. It's online was awful, but at the time console gaming wasn't online like how the 360/PS3 days really picked up as it became standard.

GC also got's its good share of third party games too where the ports were pretty solid (unlike Wii and Wii U), yet gamers still didn't care as they preferred Sony/MS.

Xbox actually sold more consoles than GC.

Wii U can't even outsell 360 or PS3.

No it wouldn't. Nintendo is done.

The only way it sells well is if people view it as a new Nintendo handheld.

3rd parties are waaaaaaay too important in today's market.

They are far from done if they handle things right.
Its always been Nintendo and Sony at the top.
Who's going to take Nintendo's spot if they fail?

3rd parties would be all over a Nintendo console with the right hardware.

I think MS took Nintendo's spot sometime between the launch of the GameCube and WiiU.

I think Andy McNamara of Game Informer said it best on Geoff Keighly's Bonus Round this week. He said something along the lines of "Nintendo's not in the game anymore".

It works like a controller. Just a really big one. Not like you have to use it though.
I have only played Mario and Donkey Kong games on the Nintendo platform. However, I have always wanted to give Zelda a try.

Which is interesting since Nintendo was on top during that time frame. Either way it seems like the wrong thread for this kind of talk.

Really?

The GameCube finished behind the original XBox in terms of sales.

The Wii was a joke of a console for the core market.

And then the WiiU happened.

Nintendo lost there position sometime in that period depending on how you look at it.

Probably the wrong thread though.

Nintendo is done, lol. THL, you have to be like 14 or something and never played the NES and SNES. Nintendo can survive for the next 20 years just off their legacy alone. When you save gaming, revolutionize gaming, and sustain excellence for decades you get a free pass.

Like the new avatar, TD. You've never sported a Ninty one before. Nice.

Xbox was the bigger of the 2 losers that gen nothing more nothing less and both got demolished by many millions.

Xbox has yet to prove it can hang as it won no generations and is significantly losing now.

Try to find where the discussion started. Search for keywords "top two".

I see we're back to the usual d*ck-measuring already. That didn't take long.
