'Gotham' TV Show to Include Popular Characters.

DC needs to do something to break the cycle of Marvel does something, then DC does the same thing. Feels like every move DC makes is a reaction to something Marvel already did.

I feel the opposite DC created superhero comicbooks, has had successful comic TV series since the 50s, and blockbuster movies since the 70s.

So, have seen the first 3 episodes and to be honest it just is not all that great. That is not to say it is bad, but it just lacks any real excitement. Perhaps it will build in to something cool by the end.
Still, am enjoying it more than the other super hero shows like Arrow, and the hugely disappointing Shield.

Hopefully Flash or Agent Carter will show how to make a great comic book TV show.

First episode was okay but felt like a run of the mil cop show hiding behind the Batman world.

The guy who does the Penguin is fantastic. All the little twitches and body movements are great.

Man, they nailed this show. It's not perfect, but it's got the perfect mix of reality and fantasy. It doesn't go too far in to be cartoony, but it has enough reality to bring up some comparisons to the Nolan-verse. Robin Lord Taylor is literally the best part of this show. His portrayal as Penguin is just awesome. Donal Logue as Harvery Bullock has also been a favorite performance of mine on the show. He balances the good soldier performance of Ben McKenzie.

I really dig the long term storylines. Even when it's a one episode deal, there's an element there that set's up the next week nicely. Not to mention I feel like those in charge of the show knew Penguin would be the best thing going for it. I can't wait to see what happens to him through out the season.

I'm enjoying it but not sure why Gordon would keep going and telling Bruce all this stuff?
Also he is way too quick at guessing stuff!

I do not like how it keeps subduing physical conflicts. The show builds up to a boiling point( done this several times now) and then nothing. They shut it down quickly, tamely. It is getting a little annoying.

Been enjoying the new episodes, not as much as the initial start, but at the same time the show is taking some bold steps by introducing lots of pivotal future characters. This episode alone we saw a young Joker and Dick Grayson's parents. Not to mention I've seen some speculate that the monster drawing in Bruce's notebook is an indication that Killer Croc could be joining the cast.

I really liked how they introduce Jerome aka the Joker because it leaves room to show off his development and involvement in Penguin's life. After all, it wouldn't be the first time the Joker was portrayed as being a member of the mafia before hand. You put him under the guidance of Penguin in Season 2 and there's an interesting story arc in and of itself.

The show has gotten better. After the first few episodes i didn't watch it for about 6 weeks but lately have been catching up and watching religiously. I like the kid who plays Bruce.

I stuck with it because my wife liked it. I get the dialogue is supposed to be comic-booky....its campy as hell sometimes. I wish they'd just kill off fish mooney already.

The redhead kid from the Showtime show Shameless is supposed to become the Joker isn't he? He was on an episode last season. Saw an article that he was at comicon asking Jared Leto questions.

No one knows who will become Joker yet as the show is throwing curveball's

Just going on what I heard. Saw and article recently that he'll be the joker. What other reason would there be for bringing him back as a character on the show.
