Halo 5: Guardians

I'm playing through the campaign with Cowbell and Catch skulls on. Wow. Lot's of fun, and a lot more dynamic and difficult because you are always moving to avoid those grenades. I like the story more and more as I play it again.

I've been more and more drawn to Warzone. It can definitely be frustrating at times, but, I'm starting to learn to run and gun less and tend to stick more to base defense. Running out into the open = lots of quick deaths. on the Map, escape from ARC you can really get pinned down if you only are holding the East/West and the other team has the other + Garage and started bringing on the tanks and shelling the armory you're holding from far away. You have to keep spawning near the base or the team will get total control but they just keep shelling the s*** out of your base and you're trapped. Pretty tough once that happens to keep from losing the third base and giving up total control because the other team just req levels up really fast by killing you over and over. Still, I think I prefer it over BTB.
 
Some changes to the price of items in Warzone:

For carbines in the Warzone mode for Halo 5: Guardians, the price goes from 4 to 2, while for Rain of Oblivion and Blood of Suban, the price cut is one.

The Suppressor gets a reduction from 2 to 1, which is the same as the Boltshot, and for the normal light rifle, the associated cost drops from 5 to 4, the same as for the Barbed Lance.

The Dying Star sees a reduction from 6 to 5, the SAW moves from 5 to 4, and Appetite for Destruction gets a price cut from 6 to 5 as well.

I tried to play through the campaign with a friend the other day and we both almost fell asleep and quit about 2 or 3 levels in. There's something about this game that just isn't appealing or fun. I can't put my finger on it.
 
Crazy how many kills this guy gets. Notice how he uses the back side of the map to travel around and not get shot and how he essentially camps certain areas and waits for the other team to come running towards the fortress on the normal/quickest routes and takes them out. The guy was up to req level nine about half way through the game. He would also run back to his base and get another req once his power weapon ran out of ammo.



The guy also has a crazy number of unlocked varients of the DMR as well as a lot of the legendary weapons unlocked as well. I just picked up my first DMR variant last night!
 
Christ, I just watched another of his videos of his wrecking with the legendary Banshee. Interesting to see him do a backflip every time he fires.

Man, the campaign gets better every time I play it. Cowbell+catch+Grunt Birthday+Heroic+effective use of teammates= Heaven :D

I'm appreciating the story more too.

That's a good vid, I like this one as well, he uses 4 speed boosts at once for some crazy s***

 
Well this is exciting. Stupid half game battlefronts been distracting me (I'm a star wars fanboy, it can't be helped), gotta get back into this.

Downloading the update now... Geez, four and a half gigs! Going fast though, only been 10 minutes and I'm at 95%! My body is ready!!
 
Fightfight... I wonder if it's the version on 343i forums everyone has been begging for.
 
Firefight sounds like it will be a ton of fun....Hopefully we can incorporate that into Thursday nights.
