Hey Ash! Whatcha playin' now?! v 3.0!

Finally finished Wolfenstein 2. For a short game, took me awhile. First time I’ve turned a shooter down to easy to beat it. I just wasn’t enjoying the action. Cut scenes were mesmerizing. Some of the best voice acting in a videogame.

Time to go back to Witcher 3 and Evil Within 2.
I agree. Wolfenstein 2 really isn't all that fun. I liked the first much more

FFXV: on PC. Dahummmmm! The game feels amazing at 60fps.

Best looking game on PC since Crysis3.

I have posted so much about this game, and finally seeing it in ultra hd, makes me
Love it so much more.

Couldn't find the thread that Andy made, or the original one i made (I think it was called a joke by him, but he opened the post with ''' no offense to Belly" or something...

Anyway, the PC version is pretty amaze balls. And the grass shaders alone make it a different game.

Ive Ive encounf a few glitches where the pad buttons are replaced with blue blotches on screen.

I'm interested in the game and held off playing it until the PC version came out.

Now that Prey is finished I've moved on to a new game that just came out last night called Surviving Mars. It's from the Tropico devs, and while I never played one, it's pretty much a city builder but on Mars. Have to survey the planet to find resources for building stuff, water, oxygen, etc and eventually build giant domes to house people. You can then send rockets back and forth for more materials and buildings. Only played an hour and a half but really enjoyed it.

Company of Heroes 1 I gave up on during the third or forth mission. Tried it a couple times and seems pretty BS so wasn't going to bother. In its place I picked up Hearts of Iron 4. Don't have much experience with grand strategy games although I have played a bit of Stellaris which is from the same dev. HoI4 is a lot more in depth though so it's going to take a while to get a hang on things.

So I purchased an Amazon Fire Stick TV. It's great for watching Amazon Prime movies/music, twitch, youtube, and whatever video app is your poison. Noticed they had games, when I saw it, realized it was pretty much all mobile games transferred to the tv, but Amazon sells a controller. So I bought one. First off, first game I played was Asphalt 8, which is a Burnout clone. I initially played games with only the remote that came out of the box, like a tv remote, not an actual game controller. Weird, but fun experience. Bought Canabalt HD and it's a liberating feeling to just veg out on the sofa and just hit one button. Laziest gaming I've ever done. Highly recommend that. Jack in the Box is sold in the store, haven't played it, but if it uses the remote, and your buddies all have phones with bluetooth, that's a reasonable purchase to make for fun party games.

So when I got the controller, I tried this dollar game called Grave Stompers. Such a mobile game. It's a horde mode style hack n slash/shoot em up game. Kind of bad, but it scratches that get in/out type of gameplay where you play for a bit that I enjoy about these low budget trash games. I played Pacman 256, which is amazing, but holy f***, it shoves the microtransactions in my damn face. I hate it, but the gameplay is just that good and it looks great on my tv. I might try to even do a longplay vid of that since it's basically a "survive as long as you can" version of pacman. You play one level, but that's part of the fun. No need to buy the extra crap so far.

Tried flappy birds. It f***ing sucked.

Started playing the BF1 war stories. Have only played through the first one so far but really enjoyed it. Hope we get something like this in BF2 along with coop.

Played through Witcher 3s main story line (stopped about 3/4 in because open world) and got a blooded tooth (correct?) so went through Blood and wine dlc too. Must say that this game is prob my top 10 games ever made.
Also been playing some Zelda on switch, basically only got Ganon left except all the seeds and such.

Honestly thought like you, until I played about half of them and got bored, the shooting mechanics in fps's just doesn't keep me in sp anymore, there's really not anything new anymore.

I have to agree. Any MP shooter I buy I never finish the single player.

Started playing the AC Rogue remaster, it looks surprisingly good imo.
What hasn't aged well is the on foot controls though, playing origins last week and thought the controls hadn't evolved much, I was wrong. Can't count how many times I've jumped into combat unwillingly when trying stealth. The combat works great although it's way too easy. Not a fan of the colder climate for seafaring though, they really didn't need to go away from the Caribbean imo.

Getting back into ESO. Took maybe 5-6 months off, but it's pulling me back in. At 78 CP right now.

Got back into Injustice 2 after the legendary edition update. I'm logged over 100 hours in that game and I don't think I've put in more than 20 hours into any other fighting game.

South Park the Fractured But Whole was 20 bucks on Amazon and considering it comes with the Stick of Truth, which I've never played, it was a no brainer for me to buy.

Played that for a bit but mostly been playing Far Cry 5 and Injustice 2 the past few weeks.

Man, I love Carmageddon. Can't believe I didn't play it back on the day, and it has a crazy amount of levels too. It's really fun to play, and has sort of become my go to game at the moment. Although I'll play Overwatch here and there. Kind of waiting out the new season for when Brigitte gets playable. Latest OW highlight:

Nearing the end of Elex...janky as hell and the combat sucks most of the time but like all PB games(Gothic,Risen) everything else is well done, from the choices you make, the factions you choose, the companions sidequests, the levelling up,and the way everything slowly comes together is so addictive, will probably have played close to 100 hours when I am done...graphics at 1800p on the X also look nice in some area's,for such a huge open world.

Also playing Wolfenstein 2,on a 7 day free rental ;) and man,I never dropped a game down on easy so fast lol...cutscenes and story are awesome so far though.

Playing Ratchet and Clank on the Pro,man that game is gorgeous with the HDR.

Started the Witness...the second area gave me a headchace lol,no way I am figuring this s*** by myself but I will give it a try.

Went through a random indie game called Planet of the Eyes earlier. Quick 1 hour game for $10. Not sure it was worth it but i had fun. Mostly platforming with some puzzle solving.

Trying to get through assassins Creed rogue on Stefan, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to take more punishment.... The controls really, really are showing its age.
Examples;
Running through a city being destroyed by all earthquake, it's a really great looking set piece and should be a really immersive experience. Instead I'm battling the controls as I'm trying to understand where the game wants me to run. On the occasions I die because Shay jumps up random obstacle like chimneys or walls which either makes me jump to my death or die because time runs out.
Basically every tail mission is an experience of frustration because of the extremely loose controls which makes me jump into enemies while trying to run up a tree branch or other.
The experience of going to your ship after being on a mission or such should feel epic but it's almost impossible to get to the wheels of the ship without accidentally running up the rails of the ship or jumping down to the captains cabin.
Strange thing is a LOVE the series and honestly can't remember feeling this frustrated with the controls before... I'm guessing they pretty much fixed it with origins and coming back to this now makes it seem worse. Will plow through out though I don't think I'll be able to go through ezio collection too, which was the plan.

The Evil Within

I decided I want to play The Evil Within 2 after a learned that you refill your health by drinking coffee lol. I'm playing through to finish the first game before I pick it up and powerup Sebastian with caffeine.

Just finished Wolfenstein 2.

Now it's pretty much just Fortnite and Titanfall 2.

Played syndicate at release, lots of sneaking around when doing the assassinations and can't recall it being frustrating.... But I didn't recall rogue being this bad either so idk

You should try "deadly premonition", I've never appreciated the term "so bad it's good", but this game certainly would qualify lol

Loved Deadly Premonition. No longer have my 360 but I did grab it on PC. Hopefully it was a decent port.
