how much life has the 360 left?

I have no intention of ever selling my 360, but I also probably will never use it again either. Eventually I may end up getting rid of it, but I know for sure that I'll be taking the TXB faceplate off of it and keeping that thing when I do. Perhaps frame it?

Tape it to the front of the X1 ?

2014 360 games:
Fable Anniversary
Assassin's Creed Liberation HD
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare
Castlevania Lords of Shadows 2
South Park: The Stick of Truth
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z
Dark Souls II
LocoCycle

Lots of games I'm interested playing with in 2014 on the 360.
And Titanfall and Project Spark are coming to 360 too.

Considering how long a life a standard definition console like the ps2 had, don't be surprised if the dynamic duo of last gen last longer than anyone anticipates. Both companies and developers will support them, as long as there is money to be made.

Well cos I have a massive backlog on my 360 I vowed not to make this mistake this new gen, and so far I am sticking to it! Got ryse and dr 3, finished em then bought AC black flag, so re single player campaign titles, I will get a game and when finished then buy another :)
Still going back to my 360 and getting through that collection!

I'm doing the exact same thing. Only bought DR3 at launch and about halfway through it. I won't buy another until it's finished. I'm wondering how long that will last before I break. Probably the day they release two major games on the same day.

My backlog mocks me and it will take some time to get through it. I'll finish it though.

You'll probably see annualized releases like sports titles and AC or COD continue to be released on it for another couple of years but other than that I don't think anything big that hasn't already been announced will be. I know for me personally the last game I plan on buying for the 360 is the fable remake, after that I'm pretty much done with it.

MS claims they will keep it alive for at least another 3 to 5 years so we shall see. This will be its last big holiday season that is for sure. I'm figuring after this holiday, the XBOX360 will up around 84 to 85 million shipped to retail. Total lifetime sales for the XBOX360 will probably end up around 90 to 95 million. Not bad for their 2nd system.

I currently have 2 of them that get daily use as MCE and the bedroom unit gets gamed on 3 or 4 times a week mostly from my son. I'll end up keeping them until either an MCE app comes out for the X1 (I give it 40/60 chance) or another company comes up with a reasonably priced and working MCE device (Ceton failed horribly). I still have about 10 games to finish (recently bought Dark Souls for $7.50) so I do still plan to game on them as well. Long live the 360! (but still make an MCE app goddammit!!)

It seems plex may make it's way to One if that is the case if you just use MSE to stream media Plex would be a good replacement.

Well, I use it to watch recorded/live TV from cablecard tuner/WMC PC. So, don't think that would meet my needs. I rarely watch live tv but it does happen on occasion. I'll check into plex tho thanks for the suggestion!
