I've just noticed this recently after reading a bit about how bad the PS3 was doing early on and just how much they lost on it, but still they didn't let it die and in the end they even turned it around a lot.
I never knew how bad the PS3 was doing as I only owned a XBox back then and never followed it, but apparently they lost s*** loads on the PS3.
Also with the Vita, they were off to a really bad start and still are with it, yet they persist where probably a lesser company might of given it away. The Vita is a top little console, and hopefully they can turn it around with things like Vita TV a new cheaper Vita and just more games.
I give props to Sony, because a lesser company probably would have given it in with the PS3 and also the Vita, but still they have and are still going strong. But maybe if they stopped support, people would be less likely to buy a new console from them ?
And Yeah we got our own board now
