Jurassic World Trilogy

Hope it's good. Watching it tomorrow afternoon.

Since the movie will be out tomorrow, time to list your Jurassic Game titles on eBay/Amazon when the resale value is at its all time high.

Examples:
Jurassic Park Genesis PS2 $85+
Jurassic Park Genesis Xbox $120+
Jurassic Park The Game Xbox 360 (sealed) $75+ on eBay

Can't match the magic of the first but definitely up there with it followed by 2 then 3.

Just seen it's done over 200M in the us over the weekend.

Thought it was meh. pacing was shyte.

You can't have the f***in raptorrex escape and THEN have a scene where everythings cool and the obligatory invulnerable kids are laughing and having fun. It was too obvious when things were fine and when they're about to go bad. the whole premise fails simply because the older movies exist. 2 failed park attempts and they thought they could do it again? it's just a retread with modern hollywood bs.

but I'm a cynical jackass.
 
Saw on IGN today that this now is the highest grossing weekend worldwide ever and the 2nd highest weekend in the US ever not far behind the first Avengers. Safe to say we will see another movie in the near future.
 
Yep, $204+ million this weekend in the US. That number may even rise by the time actuals come out on Monday. It has a chance to still surpass The Avengers' opening weekend. When Avengers numbers came in, it was $201 million and ended up being $207 when actuals came in.

$511 million worldwide this weekend too. Beat Harry Potters DH2's record from 4 years ago.

This movie is huge.
 
Chris Pratt has already signed a contract for at least another Jurassic movie. Colin Trevorrow won't return as the director though.
 
My wife and I barely ever go see anything in the theatre. She told me last week she wants to go. Confirmed huge.
 
I didn't like it very much. Typical blockbuster cliches. Forced love story, ridiculous premise (specifically the gyro spheres), annoying female lead, etc.
 
I gave it a B-. The guy with the toy dinosaurs in the control room summed up my feelings. The first Jurassic Park was amazing, now we're just going with the motions.

Had some cool scenes, but dumb character choices brought it down. For example, why the f*** would they wait to check the motion sensor until AFTER people go in the cage?

Yeah. 100% agree. It wasn't a terrible movie but it certainly wasn't as good as it should have been. They should have explored the trainer idea more. I thought that had the potential to be a great story. I seriously lol'ed at the cloaking part though. Come on! It's not a f***ing a Klingon battle cruiser.
 
I turned my brain off and enjoyed it for what it is. It really grinds my gears when people nit pick movies especially a summer blockbuster. This is not a movie trying to win an Oscar. Enjoy it for what it is entertainment.
 
This movie needs to end with humans in a post apocalyptic Earth with dinosaurs taking back the planet.
