Life

Doctor said things are getting better but not quite ready for surgery yet. 4 more treatments then CT and go from that

Thanks for letting us know. I'm glad things are headed in the right direction. It must take a lot of patience and trust and determination on your part. We're all out here rooting for you.

Can you get a second opinion?
I could but not sure what to do. I will just do the 4 more treatments and see what happens I guess. He says he wants some more improvement in the liver and that the lymph nodes would make it hard to operate. Yet I have read about people getting lymph nodes removed that where suspicious for cancer.

Yeah, I'd consider getting a second opinion. It wouldn't hurt, anyhow.

Been doing good. I have not had chemo for a month because of the holidays which worried me but the doctor said it would be fine. I finally get a treatment Tuesday then going to get a ct to see if things are still getting better and decide what is next from there.

Thank you for asking.

Still have a hard time staying positive but I will do my best.:)

It's good to maintain a positive, hopeful attitude, but don't get down on yourself for getting down, either. It's part of the process. There can be too much pressure on people with cancer to think positive all the time. I've seen people (subtly) blamed for their cancer or for their not recovering from cancer, because they weren't positive enough, as if it all hinged on your attitude. The pressure to be positive can just create more stress and make some people feel that they aren't "doing it right." It can also make them feel like they have to act more positive than they feel around others, which just means more stress. "Being positive" can also be a way of pushing away legitimate feelings that people would do better to just accept and experience as part of the process they're going through.

Just food for thought, my two cents. It's great to hear that your doctor has given you a good report.

Sounds like your health is improving Hazard. That's great news. Now for more great news.... I'm going to grab a Haggan Das ice cream bar.... or two!

Cheers man.

Sorry I have not posted much about my situation. Still doing chemo but had to switch to a different one because it started kicking my ass. Cancer is pretty much the same. Still fighting the good fight.

Keep it up. Staying the same is still progress. Hopefully the new chemo has a better result to get rid of it completely.

Good. That takes courage and heart.

It's a tough road, I'm sure. We're here for you. Wish there was more we could do.

Got Ct results yesterday and doctor says they show little to no cancer. So going to do PET in couple weeks to get a better look. I hope he is right but I heard this before with ct and then PET showed more. Feeling good still since starting the different chemo and hoping he is right. We will see in a few weeks.

Great news!!! You've been put through the ringer with this. Glad to see it's looking up man.

I've read several times that garlic is super potent against cancer. There are several villages throughout Europe that use it heavily in cooking and there is almost zero cancer those populations. In addition, I listened to a podcast where a doctor said garlic kills some cancer cells only hours after it's digested. Couldn't hurt, it has many other benefits as well.
