Hello everybody on this wonderful forum. I would like to test the water temperature for some kart racing of Union members :). Now I wouldn't mind starting the hosting myself, my only problem is that I need to get some tips on how to properly do this as I have very little experience with organising these things on forums.

The hosting itself is dead simple, but is there a way we can synchronize a bit and start some Union VGF cups and what is the best way to organise these things?
 
@Dehnus I noticed you made a post like this before and I merged it with the Mario Kart 8 Megathread.
If I were you I would take a look at how the Killer Instinct thread in the Xbox forum was organized. They seemed to get it going with scheduled fights and showdowns with different members on that board.

I'll keep this thread open as long as there is healthy interest.
 
I'll be on in some time. I am still practicing, finding shortcuts and all that.
 
I've been playing in the GAF tournament. They're really, really good (well, some of them).
 
Oh I know there is a big section of GAF that is really cool. It's just the pixelcounters that I mind. They take all the joy out of my hobby ;). But they aren't as bad as say... N4G... man that place is a disaster :p. But I'll try to set something up Tuesday evening. As I then am back home from an Office trip to another country ;).

It's a reason why I have been so silent lately :).

Okay, still, the mega thread would be a bit hard to organise things in. So I would prefer a separate thread myself. But do what you must, I suppose the time difference also is not helping :).

I think the lower one is the password to get in, at least it said so on the screen :p. I'm a tad nervous about doing this all for the first time lol :p.

Something tells me I'll constantly be in last place.

I do wonder how the voice chat works in the lobby with Mario Kart 8, Either I'm around some very shy players, or I have it turned off somehow .

On that subject, if people want voice chat during the race, because of my vocation I can easily set up a Mumble server on the Company server. Just tell me if you would like that, and I'll give you the info in PM :). It is a former Roleplaying server for WOW, so there are some silly rooms there, but just don't let that bother you too much :p.

For now I'll just have it set for everyday from 18:00 till 17:30 (nearly 24 hours). So people should be able to join and go as they please. Wanted to try some exploring about tournaments first before we start setting hours, what is allowed and what isn't, what kind of karts are allowed, etc.

Didn't want to scare people off at first. But open for feedback ofcourse :).

Anyhow:
You can just join the tournament, you probably need to fill in that code and you'll be in. Since I created the tournament it didn't ask me for a code, but you probably get a pop up for it. I think you can even search of it using the code given here.

Just give me a message when you are in, because I'm going to do some normal online Matches int he meantime ;). "Oreonas" is my Nintendo ID and I'll also be checking the PC :p.

Sorry, I had to go to sleep at say 2AM, work in the morning. So couldn't wait any longer. But I am very interested in the feedback of how it wend, and if it wend ;).

And yes no 150CC, I kept everything average for now and set it at 100CC, would most like 150CC? Then I'll just change it tonight when I come back from work.
 
I didn't see anyone on from the occasional times I popped in . Hopefully we'll get some races going soon .

Sorry guys had to work overtime today, so I couldn't get involved with today's matches if there where any.

PS: Yes my Wii U is from the Netherlands and my Mii was created there too, but don't let the Norwegian Government hear you, I might need to pay more fun tax this year then ;).
They are very strict on the "No tax free fun allowed!" rule :D.

Norwegians have to be grumpy ofcourse, we got a National tradition to uphold ;).

It's soon half past 1 ;). So I'm going to bed now, just saw you on line and thought I'd join in a race ;). Quite a high score you have, I can't seem to go up that fast hehe. Usually I am one to find a nice wall to hump the moment I do well in a race :D.
 
Lol, I am not that good. I still occasionally come in like 10-12th. It's mostly experience, but I wouldn't consider myself good. I am a little above average, I guess, but thanks.

Have game capture ready for later on (should be able to take some videos). Will have to do a lot of training in the single player, oh how long it is since I tired a Mario kart game.
 
Sorry, didn't have a chance to get on yesterday. Was trying the Destiny Alpha out!
