Mario Kart VGF cup

I give up for today, too much mistakes I make. Gone take it another day, need to become better at this to keep up with you guys.

Sent you a friend request. Just wondering, do you drift? I think I didn't see you drifting and that helps with boosts a good deal.
 
Tried drifting, maybe not too good at it yet, did start drifting today, but when get one crash very easy that more follows :)
 
Drifting in a bike is a bit harder than in a four wheeler, but it can do turns quite a bit easier. At least that is how it seems to me, it also is still a bit new to me.

And Erics:"Dehnus where art thou"... was just scary...
Reminded me of a certain "HEY LISTEN!" person from my childhood on a certain console after I had filled in that name :p.

PS: I know it is Naavi where areth thou, and that it is spoken by the Great Deku Tree, but I just couldn't resist :p
 
Yeah think I will try four wheeler from now on and when get better at drifting switch to bike.

I watched a video that showed bikes are not as fast as they were in Mario Kart Wii. It's just about what you're comfortable with.

I am not very good drifting either, but when you hit them consecutively, you kill seconds off you lap times. Also, shortcuts are all around, it's worth exploring a few races. Don't take my advice to heart, though, I am not the best of players.

Shortcuts yeah, there is something I need to explorer more.
 
Finally managed to get first place in single player Grand Prix, thanks for all the tips, I think I may have found my favorite 4 wheeler that will use that later on in the cup.

Yup usually when it starts to go haywire everything goes haywire :p. I usually get a bit nervous myself and then I can't ride for crap anymore :p.
 
Anyhow, I was wondering about restarting the cup with CPU players since we are only a few people. Most of us are also in very incompatible time zones.

What are the thoughts about this (Positive or Negative) and when restarting are there any other changes you would like to see?

I`m for that, had been nice to play with more players. Do not know if other changes tho, teams ?

I think we are too few for teams, but I haven't checked today. Too busy cleaning the apartment.
 
Crunchtime for me this week, so I have little time for Mario Kart. I really hope you will all have a great time :).

Might be taking a break to finish up some other games this week. I've worked my Wii U to death these past couple weeks, lol.
 
I'm trying to finish Watch Dogs still. So I'll only be on if you guys are on or something.
 
I'll be on, just not as much as before. For some reason, I have a strange desire to replay a lot of Wii U games now (Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, NSMBU, and maybe Wind Waker).
 
Okay, Crunch time over again, and hopefully not happening again until the summer is over :). How are all things Karting related? :)
 
Taking a break from mario kart 8 now, gone start on Divinity: Original Sin (Early Access game) sow maybe gone take a few days before are back.
 
I am up to around 2800 in the online racing, which I thought was solid but someone in my lobby was over 8000. That's insane. He or she must have, no lie, close to 200 hours invested in the game already.

I sunk untold hours into Mario Kart 64 back in the day.

I'm still stuck at under 1600. But then I suck ;). And 8000 most be insane, that man or woman must be very good in catching coins and coming in first :p.
 
Back on, beers in hand. Should be fun.
 
This game thinks I am way better than I actually am. The match making puts me in rooms with guys all in the 6000-9000 VR. Coming in like 8th place nets me like 10 points, haha.
 
I'll be playing again next week, was a busy week again (Vacation time, all other employees go on vacation... meaning the gay guy has to fill in for not having a family ;)) and also trying to get some time in the nice weather you know :).
