I'd take Hellblade over most PS exclusives this gen. It has more creativity than PS first party too. Hellblade 2 also looks better than any PS exclusive this gen.

I don't think anyone was really saying Hellblade 2 was ugly. But some people wanted to see maybe more of the gameplay.

They must be going off of the "in engine" trailers vs the actual gameplay clips that have been shown recently. It doesn't look any better than most games out there now, her face looks much more like a game model than all of that early stuff that was shown. I hope to Christ they don't turn the chromatic aberration up to 1000 like they have for HB2 in it's trailers lol. The pics they released for Spider-man 2 had it turned up too high as well, nowhere near as high as HB2 but I hate that effect.
