Politicizing issues that don't need to be is a bit of a drag, but having been amongst certain groups, they definitely feel empowered by the new president.

Now naturally this stuff happened before, I don't tie it to politics. Social engagements and activism (in whatever context) have gotten more and more extreme. This is just one more of those. A lot of people don't know how much is too much.

I can't even
Do yourself afavour and give the MP a try. I too thought the same as you about it, but absolutely loved it after playing it. It is co-op horde mode with objectives thrown in, and with the pacier and more fun combat system it suits the game well.
I can't even get on mp.

OK, gonna get it on PC when the price drops. The fact that I unlocked only two achievements on the X1 version (played only a couple of hours of the trial) will haunt me till the day I die though. ;p

Guess is Monday
You are correct.

EDIT: Well I don't know. After Googling "andromeda embargo", it seems like the embargo has changed. But that was said two days ago and nothing further has been said.

It will be interesting when the embargo ends and the reviews come out. Will the game be destroyed? Will this hate for it be unwarranted? Who knows... All I know is that when I played it I had an enjoyable experience and it brought me back 10 years ago.
Yes, some of the facial animation and blank stares were a nuisance, but that was it just it, a nuisance. And not all of that was that bad.
I thought in the short time that I played it the story is going to be intriguing and that the writing wasn't bad at all.
I hope the full game is a hit but maybe the damage has already been done. If it is a hit then Bioware can tweet out a big f*** YOU to the haters.

It won't be destroyed but it won't hit the type of the reviews the series used to get. I'm thinking low 80s average. Probably depends on how much better it gets after the trial period.

If it does get great reviews then that means they messed up by having them so late

I agree. There will be those reviewers who will nitpick the f*** out of the game.

The reviewers who will spend several paragraphs trashing it and then in final paragraph say it's a great game thus giving it a 4 out of 5 stars. I don't base my purchase on reviewers.

Working on the beginning and end two months before release explains a lot

Makes sense it's the same disc.

Doesn't make sense X1 and Scorpio games come out on two different sets of discs. Just like PS4/PS4 pro. Same package, but depending which system you have it works a bit different.

Assuming Scorpio has UHD, it gives more room on disc for data/textures.

Hit the point of the story where the trial ends. Blueballed like ****, want to know what's going on. Gonna wait for the reviews just to be sure it's not a disaster in the later parts of the game, but assuming it's not I'll pick it up for sure. Gonna have to use a VPN to play it tomorrow, why this game is not getting a worldwide release idk.

Be interesting to see what the scores on the doors are like in a few hours though. I'm thinking it'll be comfortably in the 80's from what I've played but we'll see.

7.7 from IGN. Somewhere around 73 on metacritic as of 12:55am pacific time

Technical issues and a lack of sequel hook decisions (save council or not from me1, for example) seemed the biggest concerns. As those who have played the EA access preview, were technical issues prevalent?

The story gate is a huge kick in the balls alright. So lame how they did it.

From what I'm reading in the reviews it seems strong in content and combat, while the writing and bizarre visuals seem to be negatives.

Read the IGN review. Apart from performance issues, their big negatives are subjective...take the writing for example, they claim it is inconsistent, but their only stated argument for that is that every dialogue choice isn't filled with huge morally grey responses with big consequenes. That just seems. unrealistic. to me, even in the situation you are in.

I saw absolutely zero technical issues. Unless that's a reference to the questionable animations in some places?
