NBA 2K14 is 1080p and 60FPS on XBOX ONE

Both games aren't that taxing honestly. I wouldn't be surprised if they were 1080p. Honestly, did you see the graphics in NBA2k14? I'm talking while you're actually playing, side-view, normal in-game play, not posed replays, etc. It's a port of a current gen game. Yes, it still looks great. I'm just saying, it's probably not that taxing on the system. Neither would be Call of Duty: Ghosts. Have you guys seen the textures in that game? It's the same engine they've been using since 2005 era. They lied & said it was a totally new engine & later had to retract that because it was exposed it was the same old engine yet scaled up again for another year/new generation now.
So it's not like it's some super stretch that Xbox One couldn't do 1080p/60FPS in some titles. I think what most people are saying is the majority of games aren't going to do 1080p/60FPS because they will simply do 720p & upscale or the like because the average consumer doesn't know the difference & you can obviously make the graphics look better to the average consumer & keep a more consistent framerate if it's 720p/30FPS. Yes, games like CoD & number of other titles will do 60FPS, but the majority of games will probably stick to 720p/30FPS because they know there's no benefit to try to get the game running 1080p/60FPS for the average casual gamer. Why take that performance hit when you can crank out 720p/30FPS & make the game look better to the average eyes with other graphical effects?

There are like 10 or so games at the LAUNCH that will be 1080p/60fps for the XBOX ONE so that guys predictions have already been proven null and void. Also IW killed his 720p crap.
They are also claims made that aren't falsifiable unless we:
1) Ask Microsoft, upon which time everyone assumes they are lying anyhow.
2) Wait ____ yrs to see if his FUD actually played out as he claimed.

It's funny because I wouldn't know anything about cboat or any of the these other guys if not for the people who hate him so much repeating all his predictions/leaks. At this point we are so close to launch that all these rumors are irrelevant. We will find out what's true and what's not pretty soon.

Watching next gen 2k14, scratch it off my list. Some slight improvements to visuals. Gameplay looks the exact same.
I think the real 2k NBA game will probably be three iterations in. You have to figure for the first two years they are simply porting over a current-gen game because the 360/PS3 still have such a huge install base. Once those two systems have fallen out of the limelight (usually a two year timeframe) & they start making the games more exclusively designed around next-gen hardware first, then you'll see a nice leap in the in-game graphics/gameplay/smoothness to animations.
The animation was already pretty good. It's a good balance of animation and control the way the current gen version is now and it took them a long time to get to that point. I don't think we will see a huge upgrade with the next gen version of 2k14.

Slight? The game has some well needed improvement that can finally be addressed like the glued on hair and AA for an example. Not sure what people are expecting from a LAUNCH title on current gen consoles.

True but they are well ahead of the curve the start of next gen vs the start of this gen. PS4 should be a cake walk relative to PS3 and xb1 is more than likely very similar to 360. Didn't "Ryan" start off as a 360 title?
The drivers are pretty bad in both consoles. Some devs are struggling with their new titles (Deadrising 3 for an example.). Don't expect to see any mind blowing games at launch. Wait 2 or 3 years when next gen is in full motion. Developers are still learning new hardware and it's capabilities. Many game are using current gen engines for next gen consoles. For what it is the games look amazing.

Yeah for launch titles I'm pretty impressed especially if cboat is correct (kidding) as so many 1080p 60fps titles for xb1 already.

Its not that they are hiding things. Some people (not me) are concerned because some multi platform games are not being shown, leading some people to believable they either look inferior to the PS4 version or aren't in a playable state yet.
