New PlayStation Device/Hardware

Can’t you already stream games to pc or a tablet/mobile device.

Soon you’ll get gamers and devs saying it’s holding them back.
You can use PS Remote Play on iOS. I do that on occasion. Not to actually play, but to go in and do things on my PS5 when I am at work. Download stuff, etc. I would never play on my phone because controlling games on a touch screen sucks.

I also don't like the phone add ons where you can put your phone into a controller.

If this device is real, and it is used to stream games that you have on your PS5, I am very interested. I am always connected. Work, home, plane, vacation and our cabin up north. I would love to have normal controls, not touch screen.

The big question to me is if it can play pre-existing PS4/PS4 Pro games natively. Otherwise is the only native option PS Vita 2-specific games? I get the most out of my handheld when playing in the car or on a plane, neither of which have guaranteed stable high speed internet connections.

Why not use a controller or those adapters that like this https://playbackbone.com/products/b...S3o5mAUHkl71yGadX71v8wSdecSDoRDMaAjnyEALw_wcB

I just said I don’t like those adapters 😬

😆

In all seriousness, what if it’s just a tablet, something on par or better than a surface pro or iPad Pro? They already make screens and wouldn’t have to spend extra on r&d for integrated controller buttons….it’d also allow them to compete in said market, probably around the same price be it as a tablet or portable console :(

Dude....how about the device they are making???? I think it could be cool. I can play all my PS games anywhere. The plane, my cabin, at work, at home.

If there is a Pro it's likely going to focus more on performance and ray tracing improvements than resolution.

Those that lived… 😆 didn’t most spend it on stinks/GameStop stock

Idk man, in Vegas all the shows are sold out every night at opening and there are line ups everywhere even at Grand Canyon (non tourist rim). Pent up demand is real.

Both Sony and Microsoft have increased console prices almost globally, indicating that their margins are slim on the existing hardware. If they were to launch mid-gen refresh consoles the prices would have to be higher, which I don't think the market would bear.
