Nah. We're still son of TXB. All the old members transitioned; that's what you see here, mostly (I guess we have a few new faces).

I think this gen, it's hard not to own a PS4, even if you're primarily an Xbox gamer (which I think is the case for most dual-console owners here).

I could do a poll, try to sort out how many lean Xbox vs. PS. I don't believe most people when they say they're evenly balanced. Most lean one way or the other, and it's clear from their posting.
In my opinion, I still think it is more Union than TXB. Sure, it leans Xbox. But when Team Xbox first debuted 17 years ago, it was filled with pretty much 100% Xbox only owners that were rabid fanboys of Microsoft (especially when it merged with MSXbox forums). That was back when we had sites like Xbox360fanboy.com and Playstationfanboy.com and stuff like that. After Team Xbox closed down and we went Union, we retained many VETERAN members, weeded out the s***, but I feel like the majority of those members went full on multiplatform with few exceptions. Sure there is still a lean to Xbox, but IMO...instead of being 100% Xbox centric.....and of course not 50/50, I would say it's a good 60/40 now of people just enjoying both consoles. I know it doesn't show in the PlayStation section of the forum, as it is pretty quiet. Thanks to you we get some good postings there.

The bad apples that own both consoles tend to get banned or section banned, which is the minority.

Show me a post where I deffended the Xbox games lineup since E3...you can't. The very thing I knock is the same thing I knocked PS4 for. I know, consistency is a b****.

The PS4 does have some games I think look good and I have said so many times. The thing you're deaf to is that there hasn't been enough to warrant a purchase.

Like I said previously, that looks set to change in 2018 with games like spidey , days gone, detroit...maybe Last of Us 2.
Well I know menace has been knocking Forza 7, so I know he is being honest. He is a Forza freak. Then again, I too have been knocking Forza 7. Still playing it, but the AI is gonna make me lose my pubic hairs.

I'm clearly PlayStation. No denying that.. (Burp!)

And I praised GT Sport for its attempts at making online racing better with the class/licences system it has.

But Valliance only hears what he wants to.

Oh yeah, it's not like the early days of TXB. Yeah, that was rabid fanboyism. It is like the post-IGN buyout days, and the couple years before the forum shut down.

But 95% of Union members are ex-TXB. That's why I see it as TXB-like.

Its got to be a bigger split if there are 3x as many Xbox posts and Nintendo discussion is almost nonexistent.

And yet two of your evening out crew are the biggest warriors on here. One even pretends to like the other console before s***ting on it as often as possible.

Are you talking about me or Val? I love my Xbox One. Controller, achievements, Xbox Live. It's the exclusive games direction i have an issue with. Just can't help but laugh when people try and troll Sony's efforts on delivering games and then it's like but wait a minute.. What does Xbox have coming again?

The Xbox One X is awesome though just for being a PC like console. That's the way to go in the future and if Sony doesn't figure it out with the PS5 they can piss off. That would be the only way i could see Sony coming out of the gate slow again like they did with the PS3. Who knows though. Surprised you've said no to ever getting an X.

If everything shapes up the way it should we're in for a battle next gen. Or next mid gen cycle as Microsoft wants to put it. They're full of it, they're not done with generations. As soon as we see PS5 tearing it up you'll see Xbox Two in a New York minute and it will be a whole new generation. Maybe even full digital, but still don't think we're there yet. We could see Microsoft's vision finally pan out. Would be nice to see both companies not shoot themselves in the foot out of the gate.

Easy logic baby. 80k week 1 is Xbox 360/Switch numbers

Xbox 360 ships 1.5m in 2005 = sold out til april 2006
Switch ships 2m month 1 = sold out sporadically ongoing 6 months later

To not sell out you need well over 3M. I could sell 3M to CoD/BF fans just by suggesting they have an inferior version.

3 million units sold for X1X by the end of 2017. I doubt it and unlikely to happen. $500 is a lot of money. I would believe you if you said X1S+X1X will do 3 million units.

Another thing you said the X1X will be sold out on launch day/during the holidays and very hard to find. I just got back from Target 20 minutes ago and they were plenty of X1X console in-stock. Here is a photo:

Something tells me that Target in store isn't really a great video game store though. Every time I go there, I never see anyone in the Video Game department. Gamestop and BB are much more popular for store video game departments I would say.

Heck I was able to get a Switch there just after Launch where everyone else showed sold out in my area. That's how bad Target is. It reminds me of Kmart back in the day where it was sold out everywhere but sometimes you get lucky at Kmart as no one shops there for video games.

It's definitely selling though as its sold out on numerous websites, including Amazon for days and BB since launch online. I put my zip code in for BB store pick up and it says none available within 250 miles...

Question is when is MS going to restock BB and Amazon Online.

No way it sells 3 million though by end of the year. MS probably can't even keep up to even sell that many even if demand is that high, as early indications show they got stock problems already.

Well for me the video game department at Target, Walmart, and BB are usually busy with customers. Maybe because they're located in downtown or at a shopping plaza with lots of traffic. I always go there and browse through their clearance games like once a week.

X1X shows in-stock for Amazon and Gamestop. Newegg and Walmart also have them in-stock. I don't think it will be sold out this holiday because of the price. Just look at the ebay's sold listing. It's going for near retail cost. It should give you an idea that the X1X is not sold out and the demand is moderate.

You, for sure.

You're surprised that a person not happy with Xbox for reasons other than graphics isn't going out to spend 400 quid onn a console that has all the same issues....obviously you don't pay attention.

Did't you say you were getting an X1X? lol.

I see that PlayStation in most opinions has had the better lineup if we go by exclusives and better versions of 3rd party games for the majority of this generation yet you don't own a ps4.

Japan

Awesome! I guess if "you see" it then it must be fact:txbrolleyes:

Told you twice why I don't own your precious, if you lack the brain power to understand something so simple, then....I got some special needs leaflets for you.

Temporarily out of stock.
Order now and we'll deliver when available. We'll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information. Your account will only be charged when we ship the item.

It's not really in stock at Amazon, you can order it but you have no clue when you will get it.

Gamestop was out of stock few days ago but yeah I notice it going back in stock yesterday.

You have something to prove? Just on UK sales being 54% of Xbox One launch sales and they launched in the same 13 territories means they need to ship 2.1 million consoles. This time they launched in over 50 and have an extra week. Its really down to retailers orders based on demand.

And it looks like an Xbox 360 launch level of demand...(360 UK launch was 70,000..and that was at £209-279).and they weren't readily available until 4 million units were shipped.

I just checked Amazon.com and the standard version is sold out despite restocking 2 days ago. Ask again come black Friday.

BTW its not like Microsoft is going to give shipments or NPD accurate data (if NPD did, I'd double it and add 10% for a global figure) to prove me right or wrong, but you should consider its probably going to be more than double WiiUs launch this holiday (per UK data) and they shipped 3 million, so I'd consider my guess for fun slightly conservative.

Still Nintendo was insane back then.

If does 1.3m in NPD this year I'd call that a done deal. WiiU did 890,000 in 2012 with 11 less days on sale.

November hardware numbers will be interesting.

I'll take a stab and say X1X sells around 1.2M by the end of the year. If it hits 1.5M that will be a miracle.

It looks like it's off to a good start, but unlike X1/PS4 in 2013, it's a totally different landscape. Back then both players were transitioning at the same time and Wii U was already dead after one year.

In fall 2017, PS4 is the leader, Switch is selling well, X is $500 and MS is plugging $200 S model bundles during BF.

If the UK sold 80k already, by the time Xmas comes they might end up at.... 150k by years end???

The US is 5x the population, so assuming they buy 5x the UK, that's 750k. 900k total. Add in every other small country and I'll estimate 1.2M.

XBO launched @150,000 was around 400k by January. So if directly comparable about 210,000 or more for the X. As noted by the media stock was insufficient for preorders and availability may be scarce.

And it seems scarcity is fueling the market, unless the SNES Mini has an exclusive lineup I don't know about.
