Official Comic Book Thread

Reading Battle of the Atom right now. I've read up to that in Uncanny X-Men and really enjoying it so far, maybe even more than All-New X-Men. Also bought the InHumanity HC last night as I didn't bother reading any of it, but now that I started Uncanny X-Men I figured I should so I'm not lost. I also plan on picking up Original Sin stuff. Finally, looks like the next Marvel event will be in starting in October with Avengers & X-Men: Axis. Also another small series called Logan's Legacy.

Original Sin has been really interesting so far. Some interesting team ups and the art has been great.

Definitely check out the latest '3 Months to Die' arc for Wolverine. It was pretty good and starting to get more interesting as the story gets deeper. I'm curious to see how everything will end in September!

Damn if you've yet to do it check out Thor God of thunder very good book. they did have some BS environment arc but it was not bad at all and not to in your face with it. I also recommend Captain America the new series is pretty damn dark for cap. It just had an arc that was a little preachy but it was done fine and was even pro America too.

I'd love to follow the Thor series because I like Jason Arron as a writer. He was amazing with Wolverine & The X-Men (sadly, it was ended couple of months ago and is overtake by a different team on all-new Wolverine & The X-Men).

Thor, watch out!

This is not She-Thor. This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is THOR. This is the THOR of the Marvel Universe. But it’s unlike any Thor we’ve ever seen before," Aaron said in a press release.

Sounds like they are going to be switching up Captain America as well. So far these changes don't affect me as I only read X-Men and cosmic stuff. I have the Cyclops issues out so far (2 I think) but haven't read it. Sounds like that run won't be lasting long which sucks if it's at least decent.

I understand they want to have more powerful female characters, but the Thor thing is just weird and confusing. Thor is still going to be around in the comics he just won't be "worthy" of the power of Thor. They aren't turning Thor into a girl like many places are being lead to believe, this is just Thor Girl but they really didn't want to call her Thor Girl I guess. I'm all for it, but it's just weird how they've gone about it.

I also get the feeling they're using this as a potential way to add a powerful female character into the movies when Chris Hemsworth leaves in Avengers 3/Thor 3. Wouldn't surprise me anyway.

No. I am all for Gender equality, but just no. Imagine having Wonderman, or Catman? If tehy want, please create unique new Female heroins

I've collected Original Sin and Sins but not going to bother with the .# stuff. Only other tie-ins I will get is Avengers, Nova, and I think Uncanny X-Men have one. I just can't afford to buy every tie-in as much as I'd like to.

Battle of the Atom was alright; nothing crazy but decent. I started reading Batman again from issue 18 lol I'm so far behind.

What does everyone use for bags and boards? I've been going through Midtown Comics but their stuff is so random in quality and build. One order the boards will be fine, the next they are curved, and the next they will have tons of little clippings on the edges where they were cut. Bags are the same where they will be really good one time, but the next they will be a lot more, how do I put it, baggier? The next they will be wrinkled.

Local shop is going to order some Ultra Pro Resealables. From the reviews they are really good.

Wonder how many comic company's will be ok with it. I mean you can already pirate the digital copy's but that makes it even easer.

Got the email as well. Forgot I purchased a couple Image comics. The rest are first few Batman appearances and like Batman 1-10.

Started reading Fables (because of the Wolf Among Us game), bought the first 6 volumes, did buy a lot of Batman comics as well at https://www.comixology.com (still have sale there). All digital comics.

Now finished reading Flashpoint, did buy it as I had before watched Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox .

Haven't read either sorry. Anyways totally forgot about this thread, and really the OTL area of this forum lol. I'm so far behind on reading again its not even funny.
