Depends on the mood, and how this "Go anywhere" will affect the gameplay. If it is constant having to go off-road in order to compete then, eh, that will take away a lot from the game, IMO.

I've noticed the off road stuff really only seems to be in certain areas. They've shown plenty of races that seemed like they were extremely similar to the first FH format.

They're diff types of games regardless, I'm sure I'll continue playing both.

You can off road at any point. Does not matter what race or where it is.
 
I'm so glad some of you guys will finally get to experience Forza 5! Addictive as hell, and the Nurburgring!!! Best version I've ever played. Of course, I think they scanned it to within 2mm

My Drivatar is going to show Menace some serious off-roading in a month, when he knocks him off of a cliff for saying mean things about FH2!

Speaking of the Drivater; racing games should no longer come with standard A.I. Cloud really has changed the landscape as far as A.I. in games go. It makes the game much more challenging thereby rewarding when you beat them. Game changer in my opinion...

While I agree with you, there are still people that are not connected, so there should be offline AI available too.
 
Last weekend, I was playing an S class race in career mode. I was in second place for 3 laps, I couldn't catch up with #1, but was still close enough to see him. We're both gunning it through every turn, and his drivatar completely blows it on one turn and slid out into the grass as I finally flew by him.

It was awesome how much it felt like a multiplayer race rather than AI.

Right! Yesterday I was playing at the beginning of the career mode and I thought I had the race licked but hadnt checked behind me. Out of no where this big BANG hits from the back and the passing car knocks me off the road and I lose the race. Needless to say I wont be caught unaware again. That was unexpected because with normal A.I. if you are in the free and clear, there isnt anything to stop you for the most part unless you draft into a turn with too much momentum and spin off the road. Pretty awesome moment.

Quick tip; drive on the racing line. Crap drivers never hit the racing line, so they can never hit you :D
